Teaser/Preview: MLBB II: 'Race The Sunset'

Spitfire blinked in relative silence, not sure exactly what to say before the smallest of the three Stalliongrad pegasi jerked his head up, squinting at the approaching dusk.

    She's coming back...

I haven't worked on this story in... Six years?
So I figure... "I really, REALLY need to finish this last chapter. I mean, it's the LAST chapter and it's been sitting for YEARS!"

So I've had the document open, for two weeks now, trying to recapture my 'voice' from six years back.

    Just a random story prompt...

If anyone's interested in writing a 3 to 5 thousand word short, be my guest. But I wanted to write out the prompt of sorts that popped into my head today.

Instant full body flush, just add vitamins...

    Tagging FtFoNR because medical shenanigans...

So, interesting experience today. I'd like to think I know how to handle dealing with vitamins and supplements. I do my research, I check safe doses, antagonists, read warnings.

But sometimes, something just slips through in a moment of complacency.

A call to my fans for help... · 7:35pm Jul 30th, 2016

Quick Link for those who are going to TLDR, please help a content creator out.

***
I've been out of a PROPER job since last year as of the 31st (Tomorrow). I've been an UBER driver since November and when Austin decided to screw everything up, I've been stuck with a Pizza shack job as an additional stopgap.

But this isn't going to cut it. Between all but nobody looking at my Resume when I send it out, and the way the economy continues to slog along with growth, I've had a grand total of 3 callbacks, a bunch of 'sucker' offers by call centers who just want warmbodies, one almost-mistake by a company with a history of making payment for your work extremely difficult (very sketchy), and one interview that I was certain would have landed me a good job last week... Except they got a 'hiring freeze' right in the middle of it from their corporate overlords.

I'm about ready to open the [ACTION] menu and call for help so I don't lose my car or the roof over my head should this trend continue. But I don't want to take raw charity from what looks to be between 2000 and 4000 fans (combined between my story 'Sleeping with the Girls', and Fimfic).

I do however, have something that would allow me to give back to you for that money:

I just released a compendium of music I've written over the last decade on bandcamp. I didn't realize it until I was counting, but over sixty tracks covering ten years... Where has the time gone?

The Compendium is broken into two parts in order to keep the pricing gentle on a 'per-purchase' basis. Each part costs $15 (or more if you're feeling generous), and has 33 tracks on it totaling approximately two hours of music. Combined, the Compendium is approximately 4 and a half hours of music across 66 tracks ranging from BGM-music, to battle music, to full length songs like Possibilities (With Lyrics getting strapped to them as I dig them up off my hard drive.)

The track list is organized with prefixes identifying full length songs and tracks related to each other where I utilize theming and leitmotif. There are tracks in my Compendium that have never seen the light of day (or youtube). You can even preview every single track to see what you like and would rather pass on.

I would ask that simply, if you would donate to me to help me stay on my feet, you instead go buy my compendium. Either the whole thing, one part at a time, or individual tracks (you can do that on bandcamp) as you see fit. I like to earn my money, and I feel that until I exhaust even that vector for income, I do not need to be asking for straight charity.

I would also ask that if you decide to purchase it, spread links to it. Give it exposure. Talk others into listening to tracks and see if you can suck them in to one of the catchier themes. If 2,000 people bought the entire compendium over the next month or two, I could pay off my car, pay off some of my student loans, and have money left over for Uncle Sam at the beginning of the year. If 4,000 people buy the compendium. I eliminate my debts entirely... (And then I just have to approach the taxes for my earnings). If I sell six thousand copies, I'm AHEAD of my finances by a massive margin. If my finances are under control, I have all the time in the world to focus on my music and writing. That translates into MORE content for you. More music, more Dainty Dish, more Sparkle's Notes, Change is Good, etc... I may even have the freedom to begin working on 'Magical Girl' (a concept of mine, tracks included in the compendium Pt 2) in earnest.

Either way, it's raw economic math. The more people who get exposed to the music, the more potential sales I can get. I know I'm not widely popular like youtube podcasters, or have instant internet recognition like Fallout Equestria, but for a single writer and music writer, I have a fan base the size of a high-school or small town. If each of you pushed ten views on my music, I could almost expect to see at least one purchase out of each of those ten, even if you never purchased yourself.

The long and short of it is, if you help me, I have more time to produce. Writing, music, CONTENT. In the world of fanfiction, money for content is a maze of legalities. But I have original content to sell. I'd like to sell it and continue making more. Both original, and fan-based.

That is my plea for help. Help me stay solvent:

What did you major in?

Electronics Engineering.

I'd kind of line to support you and your music seems just like my cup of musical tea but I myself doesn't have any income either at the moment and I am not really sure how my economy will look in the future so I am not sure I want to spend $30 on music.

And I perfectly understand.

Still, spread it around and that will likely more than help.

Man sorry to hear about the job situation, seems to be difficult everywhere right now :(, heres hoping to good news and i will happily buy your Compendium

4122728 Don't worry, the link isn't going away so you can pass money over whenever you get it.

Ayy I've been unemployed for 4 months! I'll add your albums to the monstrous cart I have on bandcamp.

Once the cash starts flowing again I'll be chipping away at the backlog.

If you want to get back into the ride sharing, articles regarding Austin and uber state that people are using Facebook to go underground with it: http://www.vocativ.com/327333/a-world-without-uber-dispatches-from-austin/

You could also start a Patreon to fund additional tie-ins to the A18 series, and other such things. Even if you only got a dollar from half of your followers every month, that's still $900.

If I weren't swamped in medical debt to the point that planning for food is difficult, I'd definitely make a pledge for that. Hopefully the rest of your fans are in better places >_>

Grabbed both. Good luck.

Hey, thanks. Every poke helps.

Part of me wishes I could go out and pick up a few basic trade skills and certifications like wood working and welding, just so I could have alternative fields to approach. But nobody is going to just 'hire and train' a greenie for the hell of it, and courses with experience cost money/credit I already expended for my electronics degrees. So I'm pretty much stuck at 'get into my field' or 'work ten million hours in dead-end jobs'.

Of course, getting into my field is being REALLY tough at the moment.

Just saw this update; once I've gotten paid I'll make it a point to pick up at least one of the Compendiums. Best of luck, mate.

I am sorry. If it is any help(and you still need the money), you write exceptionally good stories, like your arrow ones, so writing a book(or publishing an already made story) for a price might help tie you over for a bit.
