Finally Introducing My Childhood · 12:35pm Jul 30th, 2016
Well, after we got caught up on ponies (only had to watch Spice Up Your Life about a month after it aired) a couple nights ago, I realized that Brady has been here a year, and I still had not made the time to introduce him to what was undoubtedly the best season of the most significant show of my late childhood, just before high school hit.
We've done 11 episodes so far, and simply put, I am beyond stoked that he's enjoying it. We gave the first season a go a few months ago, but it just didn't resonate with him. We didn't even get out of the File Island story arc.
Thanks, Mimi.
But Tamers? Yeah, I've hooked him, and I simply can't wait to see what he thinks of the directions it goes in. He's already been surprised by what Saban and Fox Kids allowed in the dub.
Oh, and one more thing before I go. The following art has been confirmed as fanart and unofficial:
So to the artist that did this, I must say fantastic work, and also to never do anything like this again.
You see, I'm among the group that believes that Tamers was head-and-shoulders above anything else the franchise had put out, and is the most worthy of continuation. Part of me is glad it hasn't been continued yet because there's always the chance that the sequel season / film could be terrible. But now that I've seen this beautiful work of art, I can't help but think that Toei might actually consider something like this after they're wrapped up with Adventure Tri.
And no, I haven't seen Adventure Tri yet. I'm told that if they stick to the release schedule, the Tri films will continue until March 2017, and I'm still holding out hope for a dub. I just don't do subs very often at all. Probably because I don't do anime often at all either.
Digimon... oh the memories
I don't think there is any of us who hasn't been in contact with some Digimon.
I'm not too familiar with the new versions though.
