    10 Years

    10 Long Years...
    A whole decade

What a long time to write and center around something (and too long to get back around to it)

    1 Plague

    10 years
    2 degrees
Many, many vacations and road trips
    Groomsman in 4 weddings

    33 years old

And now engaged and getting married myself

I've grown up into a near-middle aged man with ya'll

And it's time to stop keeping ya'll waiting

I'm Terrible At Keeping Promises...Also, An Ugly Truth About Me

Ugh...I really suck at this whole keeping promises thing. But I'm going to try to shed some light on why and how things went so awry the past few years. What's changed since I stopped cranking out over 50k words a month from 2012-14ish:

For one, I graduated in May 2013, diving head-first into the realm business-first small, and now corporate level.

Finally Some Good News! · 9:00am Jul 30th, 2016

Well, got the final skinny on my laptop:
He's Dead, Jim
:facehoof:

The motherboard failed yet again due to an internal issue in the laptop making it run too hot.
After crunching the numbers and discovering I can get a refund for the failed motherboard, I've made the decision to put Ol Yeller down, so to speak.

When I get my next paycheck in next week, I'll pick up a new laptop and get back to it. Wasn't exactly expecting to have to drop this kind of money before the Colorado trip, but it is what it is :twilightsheepish:
At least my new job pays well enough to take the sting out of it.

Speaking of which...within the first 3 months of my new job, I've risen into the regular top 1% in the company in sales and customer reviews. The company COO and Marketing heads paid me and my store a visit this past week all the way from Florida to not only see how this location went from a middling g store to the number one NTB in the nation, but to find out what I know and congratulate me for doing so well so quickly.:rainbowdetermined2:

Things are finally looking up!

Expect an update or a blog or something more substantial once I have more than just a phone to post with.
Again, I thank you all for your continued patience and support!

heat is the killer of any PC but it is a major problem for most all laptops.
a few rules to remember they get cooling air from the bottom (most no all) do not hold them on your lap or put them on any thing soft they sink in to or if you must put a book down or a thick magazine first.

now hi end machines gamers if they are worth any thing will pull fresh air from the top or be liquid cooled. yes there is a liquid cooled lap top way above my budget as the starting price is $5000.00
asus gx700v

guess I am trying to say look around some times it is better to pay a bit more now and get a good lap top.

4121883 I don't game with mine EVER (got an Xbox one for that :twilightsheepish:)
The processor or some such thing went bad and caused the CD drive to constantly run, killing the whole motherboard :facehoof:

4121946 it sounds like the sub processor controlling the IRQ's / drivers died and I am sure it ran every thing not just the CD drive.
yep you defiantly have a paper weight there.

my self I am a gamer but at the same time it does pay in the long run to get a bit better PC and know it will be around for a bit.
the #1 rule NEVER get a PC from Wal-Mart or sam's club they are just junk to start with.
not knowing ware you are at best bye has some good cheaper PC's lap tops / or towers and you can get super good warranty's with them also.
simple if it sounds to good to be true it is more than likely going to be junk.

Nice job at the job!

Wow good work with getting the attention of the big wigs! Doing that in just 3 months is quite the feat, kudos to you!

4121953 Something like that :twilightsheepish:
I'm eyeing an HP laptop with full 3 years of protection from Best Buy
4122040
4121972 Thankies!

4123030
personally I am not a big fan of HP but it would be hard to beat a 3 year warranty.

4123671 Yeah, I had a really bad experience with an HP lemon years ago, but they've apparently stepped up their game in price and reliability, so I'm giving them another shot. That and both my previous laptops were Toshibas that both died due to motherboard issues, so...just time for a change

4124313 sorry to say but with Toshibas this is a problem the cooling fan is way to small and the air vents plug with dust vary easy.
my sun lost one it literary cooked to death.

4124334 That's apparently what happened to both of them :facehoof:

Congratz brother-man. Things are looking good for you. I think I see a position as a store manager or even a regional manager if you keep that shit up. By the way I would suggest going with an HP. That is what I have and it runs like a bloody fuckin' dream. Haven't had any issues out of it other than it runs a little slow when it comes to gaming, but I honestly think that is because of my internet connection. Anywho I'm rambling again. :twilightblush: Well, good luck mate.
