    The Mean Six

I just saw the latest episode The Mean Six, and... it occurred to me just how horrifying this would have been for the version of the main six from my story Harmonized, especially if they had found out what happened to Chrysalis's minions.

The Tree of Harmony doesn't f*ck around. :rainbowderp:

    Terrible Trivium

I was trying to make an illustration for the last chapter of Returning Home, and Cloudsdale was in it, and... well, I meant to half-ass it by drawing a bunch of bumpy clouds and labeling it "this totally is Cloudsdale" (with discorded Rainbow Dash sitting on top) but then I was like, "Huh, I wonder how they got the inside corners of those clouds to spiral like that. You'd need

    Derpy's Eyes

Not saying that the show writers are totally reading my fanfics when they plan out their next season, but the show writers are totally reading my fanfics when they plan out their next season. Yep, that's basically the only explanation.

Bloom Filter Stuff · 1:52am Jul 30th, 2016

The cover art's a collage made with some EQG characters clipped out by clockworkponyartist combined with a shocked apple bloom by kuren247 (from a screencap I think?) a smug scootaloo by inkwel-mlp an unimpressed sweetie belle by moemneop and an uncertain cheerilee by skoon. Not sure where or how to put all those credits, but here they are for now.

This almost was the author's note for chapter 38:

and so ponies were unprepared, for the day when the triffids came.

...but I didn't want to disturb the peaceful moment at the end.

I’m getting closer to the conclusiony stuff in this story, but I have been slowing as I write it, and it gets ever longer. Working on a lot of other stories that I... might post someday. I was wondering whether I should leave this story to die its well earned too-long-to-read who-cares-about-high-school-drama death, or continue on and see this story to its end, or at least its new beginning, and Cheerilee had some motivational words for me.

I forgot a scene in chapter 25 so I had to completely overhaul a bunch of stuff. Added some missing description to flesh out Verdancy, but chapter 25 is where all my references to Scootaloo and vidya were just sort of pointing, at a scene that just wasn't there. Cheery's too much of a bro to just leave it unspoken though.

So, when is the cover art going to be updated with pony Cheerilee?

Well I intended to update it before I published the chapter. But that didn't happen. Better luck next time, I guess!

I agree with Cheerilee. Mostly with the demeanour of the first frame, but with a tiny bit of the second.

please she has me tied in the basement send help

You remember the blog I had you read. The way Cheerilee is reacting here is highly likely how my non existence audience reacted when my anonymous speaker told them what was up. The characters in Bloom Filter have it good compared to them, big time. They still have their homes and their families. And they are still genetically the same. Same eyes, hair, and usually same voice and genitals. Not so for the LOPE crowd. They aren't genetically the same, don't have the same hair, eyes, voice, genitals, not even blood relatives remain related if you ran a DNA test, providing they were maternal twins and came through together.

You stated before that lots of the stuff I said in it was redundant. Which parts were needlessly repetitive, may I ask? Also, I made slight revisions I think you would approve of, though it's mostly the same.

I was curious about the implications of people who were related, who both transformed in PaP. Yeah yeah they'd kiss and make up and join together stronger than blood ties etc, but what if it didn't go that well? It's a moot point though, since the point is to be completely alone in an empty world (at first, at least), and almost everyone would be centuries away from the ones they were related to. It'd also be interesting if two people transformed into ponies who were related, but again... the setting doesn't allow for it.

4142960 There is a loophole, and you know what it is. Anyone in the later years, even if someone they knew was amongst those who came back minutes later would more likely than not encounter somebody they knew. Anyone on a sea vessel, aircraft, train or car would vanish along with everything upon it. I imagine a circumstance where a brother and sister who were born minutes apart knew each other their entire lives. They were speeding down the highway when their car was teleported centuries into the future. They had always wanted to knock each other, but the law forbids it. Now they can do it because while they still identify themselves as siblings, their new bodies aren't genetically related. Not the case for this story. Even after being mutated, they are still genetically themselves, and the outcome is not random and unpredictable, especially if you have the right insight. In that story, if time were reset and the whole thing was done over again, the ones who came back in a matter of minutes wouldn't be the same ones, nor would anybody have the same body.

Would you tell me more specifically what was needlessly repetitive in it? Take another look.
