Displaced

Can someone tell me how the summoning for displaced characters into your story works like do you need their creator's permission and help or do you just integrate them into your story and use what knowledge you have of them to write their reactions and what they will say according to you, also does your character have to be a displaced to summon another displaced or can it be also a non-displaced?
