Letters arc complete and posting Monday with Chapter 10 of The Knight, The Fey Maiden, and the Bridge Troll too

I have up to Chapter 99 complete in Letters From a Little Princess Monster, which is a little embarrassing since I *started* the arc in the middle of Covid season. It could have graduated from several universities in that time. Rather than tease bits out of it like I have before, I'm just going to go straight into my daily publishing routine and let you catch up on where I am on The Knight, The

Sun will be down for maintenance on Monday. Sorry for the inconvenience. --NASA

Here's a story by Estee you can read to take up the time until the Sun is all tuned up and returned to operation.

EA Total Eclipse Of The Fun
The second anniversary of the Return is approaching, and all Luna wants for the celebration is one thing -- something Equestria hasn't seen in more than a thousand years. This could be a problem.

    Big Leather Egg Sunday

A reminder (as John Cleese put it) that today is Big Leather Egg Sunday, and to celebrate, I'm linking the Best Football MLP story of all time by Kris Overstreet. Starring... Rarity?

    Goodbye Toby Keith, American Legend

Undoubtedly, if Toby Keith had ever done a tour in Equestria, Applejack would have been right there in the front row, whoopin' and a hollerin' as loud as possible. I think every high school in the US had a proud friendly guy like this, and we raise our red Solo cups in tribute to his last beer run. Salute!

New Year 2024- New Projects 1939

Still working on everything else this year, but I've got a sequel/prequel to Equestria: 1940 in the works, both a series of short stories set in the 1940 world up to the Equestrian moon project, and a war story showing some behind the scenes details about the war. For a little country the size of Ohio in the northern Atlantic, it has a lot of potential. Explosive, mostly. Snippets after the

Couple of things for Georg to do: · 3:55am Jul 29th, 2016

☐ - Announce that I’ve got another story showing up on EqD shortly
☐ - Plug Bad Horse’s The Gathering
☐ - Plug Estee’s Knotty Logic
☐ - Make reference to my sixth place finish in the July writeoff for End Of An Era with Fire In The Promised Land
☐ - Plug Titanium Dragon’s The Fated Hour
☐ - Monster’s Reunion (rest below the break)

(Goddess of the Sun by Earthsong9405)

First, There Goes The Neighborhood should be showing up on EqD soon. I got the news while listening to a thunderstorm rumble by overhead, so I think Zeus may be a little upset.

A story plug for Estee’s Knotty Logic, in which our six heroes discover a use for the Elements of Harmony that supersedes bad Yelp reviews for annoying restaurants. Eventually, this should lead to me making a story called If All You Have Is A Hammer, in which the Elements of Harmony use their newfound powers in Ponyville with all the grace and restraint our Saturday night Dungeons and Dragons gaming group would show if they found any artefact with ‘Vecna’ somewhere in the description.

The July writeoff.me event is now over, and I placed Sixth with Fire In The Promised Land, which is going to be used as the first chapter in Twinkle Twinkle, Speaker to Dragons once polished and tuned and developed to the end. (Quick story summary once it gets published: Twinkle gets kidnapped by dragons during the Windigo Disporia, and after many harrowing events, brings peace between them by way of friendship) Go on over to the Event results page and read a bunch of the finalists. They’re a great collection. I love our authors.

A story plug for Titanium Dragon’s The Fated Hour, which is a much more subtle romantic comedy than I write and worth the read to see Twilight slowly turning into a frazzle.

Now for the main point. I would like to plug Bad Horse’s The Gathering in conjunction with the chapter in Letters From a Little Princess Monster which will be published tomorrow morning. I didn’t know how I was going to end that particular event until I read his story back in May, and afterwards, it hit me like a brick. I think you will all like the direction this inspiration bent the story (FYI: Cadence gets to physically meet Monster), and will enjoy any arcs yet to come.

(No, this is not the end of the story. I plan on writing more Monster, but it will be several months, as I have a great number of other projects, including Real Life.)

I can scarcely wait until my big crossover crisis event.
I think Officer Sparkle and Monster would get along swimmingly.

Good stuff coming our way.

I look forward to reading that story.

writeoff

God I completely missed doing anything on that last round. :fluttershyouch:

I need to get back into the swing of things.

Though I guess on the upside I did actually get some stories published on FIMFiction, something I haven't done in ages.

A story plug for Titanium Dragon’s The Fated Hour, which is a much more subtle romantic comedy than I write and worth the read to see Twilight slowly turning into a frazzle.

Thanks! I'm glad you liked it enough to plug it in your blog. It was a fun thing to write, and I'm glad folks have been enjoying it.

Bad Horse's The Gathering

Definitely something worth reading if you like big mystical stuff.

Bad Horse likes stories with big ideas.

It is taking everything in my power not to make a bad card game pun in relation to Bad Horse's story. For now, all I'll say is that I look forward to what you have coming down the pipeline.

I wondered why I was getting more favorites of "The Gathering" this morning. Thanks! The check's in the mail. (Don't cash it before noon on Tuesday or after 12:01 PM on Aug. 2.)

"Vecna"

Google says:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vecna

The fictional character Vecna (/ˈvɛk nɑː/ vek-nah[1]) has been named as one of the greatest villains in the Dungeons & Dragons roleplaying game.[2][3]

Originally from the World of Greyhawk campaign setting, Vecna was described as a powerful wizard who became a lich.[3] He was eventually destroyed, and his left hand and left eye were the only parts of his body to survive. Even after he achieved godhood[3]—being a member of the third edition's default pantheon of D&D gods (the pantheon of Oerth)[4]—he is still described as missing both his left eye and left hand. Vecna's holy symbol is an eye in the palm of a left hand.

Vecna's innovation center, Vecna Labs, builds custom intelligent autonomous solutions for all industries.

Vecna’s® robotic logistics solutions are a family of autonomous mobile robots, built to operate within human-centric environments. These hard-working robots are capable of handling up to 4500 kg while rapidly and safely responding to dynamic environments. In addition, these free agents are team players – they coordinate on their own and report problems as soon as they arise. This team of robots is prepared to take on logistics tasks in healthcare, fulfillment, manufacturing, warehousing, hospitality, and beyond.

Hmm. Looks like I have some competition.

Basically, from what I understand, the Eye of Vecna and the Hand of Vecna are two of the most powerful magical artifacts in the entire game. (Not the Head of Vecna, though. :derpytongue2:)

That's one of the best D&D stories I've ever heard.

Are you familiar with the story of the dread Gazebo?

4120826 Oh, yes, another good one. There's a gazebo in Zork that IIRC is a reference to the gazebo incident.
