I found it! After the story mysteriously disappeared from the site, I was afraid I was never going to get to read it again. But luckily, I found that some awesome person has made an e-reader document of the fanfic that introduced me to fanfic - Teardrops and Snowflakes! If anyone else like me has been trying to find this fic, click that link!
I haven't read it through yet, but I had a quick glance over it and I'm pretty sure it's all there

So.... For a long, long time, I thought that story was never finished. It happens that it's supposed to end right where it ended. I feel so dumb

Also I didn't know about the archive - that's really cool!
4119678 I've heard lots of people say the same - if I remember right, he left it marked as incomplete on the site, so no-one could really figure out whether it was or wasn't finished
I always thought it was a good (if bittersweet) place to leave it though
