You might notice that my avatar sports a black ribbon. Today brings ill-tiding news.

For those of you who don't frequent Equestria Daily, Bradley "Beebarb" Walter was a moderator, who patrolled the comments sections of the various articles that went up daily, including the Morning and Nightly Discussions. His job was making sure that rule-breaking comments were deleted and, if necessary, the offenders banned, but Beebarb went above and beyond this call of duty. During the Nightly Discussions (when I saw him most, only because I don't frequent Morning Discussions), he was regularly chatting with the rest of the public. He was just like one of us-- just with a little more power than most.

We made up memes left and right revolving around him. There was talk about his pet dingo, his collection of floppy disks, his obsession with Pokémon, and so much more. There were his reactions to Major Insane's artwork showing him as some sort of villain. Beebarb was family to us.

And just now, I saw his obituary on the front page.

Beebarb, to me, and to the rest of the ND regulars, was more than just a moderator. He was a friend.

I still remember the time when I nearly drove him out of his mind-- I was parodying Afroman's song "Because I Got High", and he took me seriously. I could only imagine the look on his face.

I still remember the time when I was accidentally banned from Equestria Daily. I took it to a Skype group to let my friends know and forward my complaint to ND, triggering a bit of drama on the ND. I was unbanned not long after. Innocent mistake.

Shit, I already miss him. Rest easy, brother. You're in a better place.

He will be missed.

Could you send forth my regards?
"Though I did not know ye, a brother fallen is a brother still."

Sure, that's doable.

4111470 I hate seeing people leaving the fandom. Especially in a box. I bet if more EqD peeps knew, his funeral would have been an absolute mob scene. Which would have been cool to see on the news; "100,000 'Bronies' attended the funeral of such and such"
