Regarding BTLG · 1:30pm Jul 24th, 2016
I'm really sorry to do this, but the story will be on Hiatus for some time.
You might be disappointed and ask why.
Well, here are my answers.
1. I have my own life besides this. BTLG is huge (literally) and I rarely find the time to do it between my own stories and my life.
2. Finding ideas without TwiDash is a bit difficult, so the process before a chapter begins takes much longer.
3. Sad as it might sound, BTLG is NOT my priority here. I hope you can understand this.
I'm really sorry, but without setting it to Hiatus, many of you will wait for a chapter that won't come very soon.
Don't worry about it, nobody would be unreasonable enough to demand that it continue immediately.
Rest assured; I (and hopefully many other people) understand that you have your own life.
I understand. I'm already glad that Twidash has passed you this story so it would live on. I can wait till then.
I suppose I'll be the 'bad guy' and the hypocrite so nobody else has to, so I welcome any hate folks might have for what is to be said with open arms. I am disappointed that you chose to take the reigns after TwiDash quit MLP, knowing that you would be juggling it between your own work and your life, as well as knowing that the story is not high in your priorities. I know from experience how hard it can be to find time to sit down and write, especially when there are so many other things that you can be doing, and that's without taking over a story for a friend that people will automatically feel you're obligated to put your all into.
In a way, I feel bad for you, having put yourself into this situation, but at the same time, the bitter part of me is wishing that you hadn't taken over, and that the story had died with TwiDashFan's parting from the fandom, so that the readers aren't left waiting possibly months for an author who feels no strong obligation to the story to find the time and inspiration to fulfill their needs. They deserve better, and you deserve better than the ire this will probably bring.
Then I wish you luck in your other ventures.

absence makes the heart grow fonder yes?
You could drop the story altogether I wouldn't hold that against you. Because when a story becomes more of a chore or a burden the quality of the story starts to suffer.
4110246 It wasn't just her. She assumed the story on here, but we were both still working on it. The idea was between the two of us if someone gets busy then the other covers it. The problem is... well... life. I'm now working a second job and had my shifts changed on the one I had in the first place. We didn't count on both of us losing the time we had for this and making it into a cluster. But life is funny like that.
Perhaps it's inevitable, but a conscious decision by someone to be "that guy" saddens me more than the hiatus.
Work and general life barely leaves me time to read. I don't know what the hell people are expecting from unpaid authors, but anything more than "nothing" is just a clueless sense of entitlement.
This isn't the first story I've seen go on a long but still temporary hiatus, and it won't be the last. You could take a year off and I'd still read the rest then.
Honestly i can't find it within me to be dissapointed in a hiatus, I'm grateful for the fact that you kept this story alive at all, don't worry about us, you handle your priorities, i'm just thankful that you chose to take this story on, as much as i ~love~ using meme phrases... You do you, Author.
Oh and I Love your other stuff too so I can't wait to see what's in the plans c:
Just to make it clear again: this won't be cancelled!
We try to put a chapter per month up, but it's extremely difficult.
While I'm sorry to see that new chapters will be slower than hoped, I'm glad you took the time to let us know. I hope things settle down for you soon in a good way!
Unfortunately, these things happens. I can only hope that one day my inbox will tell me there's an update to the story. But, if not, it was fun run. No hard feelings from my end of the swamp.
