I'm a shameless neckbeard who has a knack for writing a LOT of smut. I have an Official Patreon page (Patreon.com/TheVClaw), and I also take commissions to help support myself as a freelance writer.

First post in 2024 -- Technical Difficulties

Hey, guys! I know its been a while since I made a blogpost, but I've been preoccupied with writing out commissions to keep up with bills. I also recently moved to a new place (dont worry, this one was planned better than the cross-country move back in 2022), and I've been settling nicely. I've been fortunate enough to work on a new series of my own accord titled 'To Nerd A Bird,' but at the

It's my Birthday! (Also, Patreon Updates)

Hey, y'all! As of today, I'm now a whopping thirty-three years old! I know that isn't really a big deal, but it's a good enough excuse to swing by here and explain where I've been.

    Commissions Still Open

Heya guys! I finally finished a good amount of my backlog, so I'm open for commissions at the moment. My rates will be around $20 per thousand words, although it may vary depending on content or number of characters involved. I don't know how many projects I'll be open to accept, but I'll likely delete this blogpost when I have enough to handle. Until then, please feel free to contact me though

One Year Has Passed... · 5:37am Jul 15th, 2016

Today is July 15th (at least in my timezone).

Just one year ago, I was getting close with someone who I considered a good friend of mine at the time. Of course, that person was someone who I knew about for quite a while. In fact, he was the one who inspired me to join this website.

Back in 2013, when I was deep in the fandom, I started reading fanfiction when I realized there was some pretty good stuff out there. And after going through some of the more well-known stuff like My Little Dashie and On A Cross and Arrow, I eventually went into the shipping side of the fandom. That was where I discovered this story, which was written by a fantastic talent who was able to make a romance story with such depth and dedication that caught my attention. I was already on the fence on whether or not to try writing as a hobby, but after discovering Melting Snow, and realizing how young the author was when he made it, I knew that I had it in me to do the same. So, over the summer of 2013, I spent the majority of my time between looking for an apartment and working at a shitty motel on writing the story which completely reshaped my life and the direction I wanted to go.

In the span of just a few months, I wrote Brushed Away with barely any previous writing experience outside of school, no proofreader, or even the common sense to commission a decent cover page. But I did it anyway, and it helped me discover a bunch of great friends, learn a lot of helpful things about writing and critique, and made me realize just how important and rewarding writing could really be.

And I wouldn't have been able to do that if it wasn't for This Guy.

Strangely enough, despite him being the reason and inspiration for me to pursue writing, I really didn't expect for him to contact me! But it happened about and year and half after I started writing regularly for this website, and I brought up Melting Snow in a thread when people were discussing their favorite M/M romance stories. He happened to find that thread, and was touched enough by my comment that he messaged me about it. Not long after we exchanged info on Skype, which later turned to us chatting on there on a regular basis. In fact, we still talk on Skype almost every day, whether it's by text or by camera when we watch something on Netflix together.

Anyway, exactly one year ago, he asked me to get on camera. And after I did, he asked me if I wanted to be his boyfriend.

I said yes.

Since that day, my life has gotten monumentally better for me. I can now say that I've been in a committed relationship for over a year, and I'm so glad that it's with someone as sweet, intelligent, caring, and thoughtful as him. We've helped each other through a lot in the past year, and nothing has made me feel as confident about i myself as knowing I can be there for him. He was the reason I finally got the courage to come out to my Dad, and not be afraid to express myself to my family. He's the one who helps me with my writing, just like how I've been helping him finish his novel. And I've also helped him whenever he was feeling low, just like he has for me. He's one of the greatest things to ever happen in my life, and I can only imagine what will happen in another year with him by my side.

Storm Butt, if you're reading this, I love you. I love you with all my heart, and nothing makes me happier than knowing that I can make you happy. You're the greatest thing to come into my life, and you're the very reason that I'm even on this site to begin with. You're my inspiration and my muse, and I wish us nothing but the best for our anniversary. You mean the world to me, and it means everything to know that the romance I've written has turned into reality by being with you.

(Looks at picture) Ladies and Gentlemen, I think we've found one of the Beatles!:trollestia:

Congrats you two! It's surprising how this site can bring certain peeps together, this October will be me and my girlfriends second year together.

congrats :)

It's always really heartwarming to see stuff like this happening through this site.

Aww, happy anniversary guys!

Congratulations on finding each other. Here's hoping to a life of shared happiness.

Ah. That explains why he hasn't been yelling at me to keep editing the book.

You know, it's always nice to see this fandom bring people together, like that one German couple in that documentary John De Lancie released a few years back. Thanks for sharing this story man.

Congratulations guys! You two sound like quite the happy couple. It's always great to see how small things like this can bring people together... and hopefully I'll find a love like this one day. To VClaw and StormButt!:yay:

Congratulations to the two of you!
