Rinnaul

I do nothing of merit. On occasion, I give the impression of being creative, but this is a deception. I am merely derivative in clever ways.

Dropping in to try and find some art

So my hard drive bricked back in the fall, and I finally replaced my computer with the stimulus money. But I don't really have a good way to try and recover the stuff that was on there, so that sucks.

But, I was hoping for some help in finding one particular bit of pony art that I haven't been able to dig up again since then.

a brief summary of my life the past few months

June 17: I wreck my car.
July 5: My cousin I grew up with dies after an extended illness.
July 26: Neighbors threaten to sue us over payment for repairs they did on a shared driveway, wind up paying them over $1,000.
August 15: Dropped my phone and busted the screen.

Welp, that's just... everything fucked, I guess

So back around June 20, I wrecked my car.

Then back on August 28, the tires on my wife's car got torn up hitting something on the road, and we wound up needing all new tires.

I don't think my cat likes my work

So it's been a struggle to write anything, for various reasons, but I *was* trying to get back onto Legacy Ch 4 not long ago.

Then today I was sitting at the table and started hearing faint tearing noises from behind me. I turned around and discovered that somehow my rough draft had wound up on the floor and the cat had done this:

    Random Encounter

This was a fun moment. Choppy cause I had to remove a bunch of game speech commands and the usual bit of racist shit-talking.

Also this was before I found out Scribbler did another reading of my stuff. I would have probably said that instead of RCL.

Adventures in being openly brony. · 12:47am Jul 14th, 2016

So, ever since I got into the show and fandom, I've been pretty open about it, and worn merch around town and at work. In the latter case, pony-themed lanyards, buttons, badges, and stickers. When I was at the Electronics counter at Wal-Mart, I'd get about two or three people a day asking about them, and the reaction was pretty consistent:

"Is that My Little Pony?"
"Yep."
"You really watch that?"
"Yep."
"Why?"
"Cause I'm awesome."

Now that I'm back at the Kroger I worked at back in high school/college, I probably deal with even more customers, but it's only maybe once every week or two that I have someone react to my MLP stuff, and that's either a simple "Oh hey, ponies" from adults, or a "LOOK LOOK HE HAS PINKIE PIE" from little girls very excited to see that grown-ups know about their favorite show.

This last one, though...

Grown man. About the right age to be at the older end of the fandom. Said he wasn't really a fan of the show or anything, but he watched it with his daughters sometimes. And that Princess Celestia was actually very attractive. You know, for a cartoon horse.

I mean, I'm not going to disagree, exactly, but even I have limits on what I share with random strangers.

About the right age to be at the older end of the fandom.

PLEASE define "right age"...

That's the stuff

Post-college, but still gets carded for his beer sometimes.

I basically meant he's clearly past school but wouldn't be out of place at a con.

To be fair, she is attractive for a cartoon horse.

4089743

Older than you?

4089764
Well, yeah. She's in my top three. But I wouldn't tell my cashier at the grocery store that.

Princess Celestia is smoking hot.

Just sayin'

4089743
I think that the 'older' end of the fandom is an all-encompassing 25-125.

4089786

Fair enough

"Yeah, I'm not that into it. I mean, she's still pretty sexy, but not that into it." -NotABrony Sr.

4089757 I think that 4089807 said it best, considering that I am 43, and I noticed that there was a LOT of attendees at Bronycon in there 50's-60's who were NOT there just watching over kids.
Hell, one of the most well known site mods is about the same age as me even.

Princess Celestia has got it going on.

I would have gotten into an argument with him about how Nightmare Moon and Chrysalis are considerably more attractive for cartoon horses. ;V

4089887
Huh. I was thinking you were mid-20s, but I just realized I was mixing you up with Famous on that detail.

And yeah, I know the fandom isn't just high school and college aged (I'm 31, after all). We just act that way.

4090036 Rarity and Trixie are the Most Beautiful ponies

Chrysalis is as much a cartoon bug as a cartoon horse. You're weird.

(Rinnaul quietly conceals erotic fanart of a few insect-themed Marvel characters & D&D races.)

36, and Celestia is hot AF.
