Once again Pixel_Spark has outdone herself producing a breathtaking character profile pic of one of my OCs - Quiet Hoof from the series, "The Mad Seeress of the North". She came about when I was outlining my plans to Pixel for a great, upcoming romance between her and the Commander of King Sombra's crystal armies, Captain Iron Blade. Being as big a sucker for romantic dalliances as I am, she couldn't help but start asking what Quiet looked like...body, mane and tail colors...we hashed out her decorations and Pixel apologize for drafting up the armor design before running it past me, but I fell in love with it almost immediately!
The readers have had ample time to get acquainted with Captain Iron Blade through his interaction with King Sombra, his crystal army, Nyx and their various escapades throughout all the stories in the King Sombra Chronicles series, but not so much Quiet Hoof so far. She will have her time to shine closer to the end of Mad Seeress and even more in its sequel - an as of yet untitled work that will comprise all the blood, gore and sex that is so far notably absent in Mad Seeress.
Quiet Hoof started out as just a scout and runner for the Marazon Queen, Ainippe, and like most of my characters, has developed far beyond my original vision and completely out of my control. The idea of a romance, however, came rather recently, even though I've mentioned they are wedded and have a filly and colts in two other stories. I blame L-Train's video, "Fall of an Empire" completely and utterly for this, even though the romance had already been brewing before I saw it.
