Arrow 18 dramatic reading for Flight Recorder log now up.

It's been a long time coming, but I'm happy to announce that 'A.F.R.T. 11252257:054557' has gone up at Nimbus Productions.

Teaser/Preview: MLBB II: 'Race The Sunset'

Spitfire blinked in relative silence, not sure exactly what to say before the smallest of the three Stalliongrad pegasi jerked his head up, squinting at the approaching dusk.

    She's coming back...

I haven't worked on this story in... Six years?
So I figure... "I really, REALLY need to finish this last chapter. I mean, it's the LAST chapter and it's been sitting for YEARS!"

So I've had the document open, for two weeks now, trying to recapture my 'voice' from six years back.

    Just a random story prompt...

If anyone's interested in writing a 3 to 5 thousand word short, be my guest. But I wanted to write out the prompt of sorts that popped into my head today.

Instant full body flush, just add vitamins...

    Tagging FtFoNR because medical shenanigans...

So, interesting experience today. I'd like to think I know how to handle dealing with vitamins and supplements. I do my research, I check safe doses, antagonists, read warnings.

But sometimes, something just slips through in a moment of complacency.

Just a quick diagram... · 9:33pm Jul 10th, 2016

The latest audio-drama/dramatic reading of an Arrow 18 chapter should be going up soon. Not sure exactly when, but I'm thinking this week or next week if rough timelines were accurate.

I put in a little contribution to the imagery side of the video portion.

Thanks to D48 for assisting with the mechanical engineering aspect of it. It may not LOOK like there's much of that, but he ensured that what I have there is mechanically accurate for load bearing.

Also, that's not a drawing. It's completely vector work and made to LOOK like a drawing that was inked.

Have fun translating 'equish'. It's not hard. Just figure out what the characters are. It's otherwise written in English, and everything says something.

I'm going to be honest, when I first saw you posted a blog entry, I got excited that maybe a new chapter of Sparkle's Notes was on the horizon. Not that a dramatic reading is a bad thing; I've listened to them all, and you can bet I'll be listening to this one when it comes out.

Personally, I'm too lazy to decode, so I'll either save the image and try it later, or more likely, read future comments. I'm going to assume at least one word is "seat", and work from there

4082405 That's the exact same thing I thought.

That is a cool diagram too, AdmiralTigerclaw.

If it helps, I think the alphabet is Rellenic, from D&D 4th Edition.

Not to be that guy, but can we get a word on a new Change is Good or twilight notes chapter?

But in any case it's awesome to see you're still around.

Reminds me of my old Tech Drawings I did at school. Well, instead of a coffee cup stain, it had a shoe print.

I still cant remember how that happened. I dont remember dropping the sheet on the ground and standing on it when going to pick it up.

Oh well, be intresting to see Blossomforth (?) fit on that seat, even if nopony else can. :twilightoops:

When is the next update for Sparkle coming?

Hope you continue Sparkle's version of the story!:pinkiehappy:

Flippin' awesome diagram. I see what you mean wiyh getting the load bearings right, nice job.

Also, how's it going with Sparkke's Notes?

Ask and ye shall receive. :pinkiehappy:

From the top down, in (rough) order:
TYPE ?? PONY FLIGHT SEAT **TWILACHANGA**
NECK CRADLING HEAD REST
BACK AND FLANK SUPPORT
DOCK AND TAIL GAP
SIDE VIEW
STARBOARD SIDE MOUNTING BRACKET
ELEVATED POSTURE ANGLE FOR CONSOLE ACCESS
BOTTOM VIEW
LOAD BEARING SUPPORT FRAME

It is missing a front view, the isometric view, the exploded view, the scale... Far too much goes into an actual diagram. The seat also does not seem to include restraints. Mechanical Engineering classes were fun, CAD is neat, burn everything with fire!

4082564
In truth, that ring of ink is from an ink bottle, not a coffee cup. Though I understand why you would think it was from a mug.

4082765
A very nice job on the translations. Just so you know, it was a Type 01 seat. And I think you can guess who wrote in the "TWILACHANGA" when Twi wasn't looking.

4083495
This wasn't meant to be a full and complete rendering. More like a Twilight-level sketch and concept that would be used to make the full blueprints. Still, I agree with your Engineering class sentiments. Everything burns!

4083495

As Kova said: This is more a quick and dirty diagram from twilight than an outright blueprint. I was also informed by D48 as we did this (who has actual CAD experience from doing the work), that due to simplicity of the design, we had everything really needed in terms of viewpoints from just the side and bottom. There might be some '?'s regarding say, the backside bracket, but that could be easily extracted.

... Twilachanga?

4085617

Never let Pinkie name anything that might look burrito-ish.

4086023
Twaco. Twirrito. Twizone. Twinkie ... Wait.

4086023
ohhh, as in cherry-changa. That makes more sense!
I was thinking changa as in change.

These audio readings and Sparkle's Notes are equally loved.
We will be patient for both

4086292

The cherry-change actually refers to a chimi-changa. Essentially, a fried burrito.

And without cheating, my translation:
Type ?? pony flight seat **Twilachanga**
Back and flank support
Neck cradling head rest
Dock and tail gap
Side view
Starboard side mounting bracket
Elevated posture angle for console access
Bottom view
Load bearing support frame

NB: I use ?? because I couldn't identify J Q X or Z, so the type is presumable two of those.
Edit: Or alternatively, 01.:facehoof:

Some hints or those who want to try this themselves:
The text that looks like '^aavbb' can pretty much be just one word in the english language.
Try googling words with two sets of double letters. Beyond that, try guess work, and bare in mind there are limited numbers of letters that duble up, and limited combinations of 2 and 3 letter words.
Beyond that cross word solver programs are your friend.

4086408
really?? A chimi-changa actually exists??

Bwahaha!!! All this time I thought chimi-changa or cherry-changa was a silly word created by Pinkie Pie.

Hahaha!! That's gold mate. Thanks for a good laugh and another word for the vocabulary. Have a good night!

4088810

Yeah, they're real. I have a few (had a few before I ate them) in my freezer.
Good stuff.

Twilight isn't going to incorporate some of the blue print diagraming she look at going through rangies computer...?
I would think it would look more Leonardo Da Vinci, at least in the style...and it would have to be fast track through inspection, they need there notations.
And the very test themselves would advance pony knowledge about exceleration and speed and...everything.
They amount of back up data REFERENCES WOULKD ANOTATE TO back to several encyclopedic volumes! I want to hear this language spoken...
I want to hear more from Ariel Smeleif!

Arn

4083645
Wouldn't unicorn blueprints be more artistic?
At least the unicorn bureaucracy would have a fit seeing this.

Arn

4088823 I know you are busy would you maybe consider Twilight's notes ,again? I wanna read more!

4086408
Do you plan on finishing Arrow 18: Sparkles notes? If yes, when?
