Oh boy... You are right, this does not sound good at all... Well, I'd like to say that I have a feeling with some of the writers this season they might actually pull it off and do a better job then before (Yeah, I'm a optimist, so sue me.) but then again, it's always possible we're going to get Mare-Do-Well Part 2: Electric Boogaloo. I say 50/50 chance that'll happen.

I know you weren't asking me, but I'll answer for the most common opinion. The maliciousness of how the mane six handled the issue. People give that answer all the time, since Rainbow was literally going insane, and mentally as well as emotionally on the fritz, yet her friends decided they were going to destroy her ego to "put her in her place." It worked, but honestly, imagine if your friends were so fed up with your success they literally worked to take it all away until you were emotionally effected by the fact no one looks up to you. Rainbow has always had a confidence problem, and her friends knew that. This is post the sonic rainboom episode where she had a total breakdown. And they used her weakness against her to get her back from cloud nine, which is pretty sick.
