So, I don't know what to do....

I like writing my most recent story, however I'm at a sort of standstill. I want to try something different with it so it doesn't grow stale, both for reading and writing purposes. I don't know. But I also feel like like that's kind of cheating and so I have some reservations.
I really like the story so far—as opposed to other things that I've written—but my attention span is bad that it's hard for me to write stuff for extended periods of time without the, uhm, "quality" (if one could call it that) degrading.
So I want to change it up. So yeah. I want to get your opinion on some changes that I'm planning. My potential plans for the next few chapters are:

What do you think, 8 readers? A no go, or a go? I'm thinking yes, however I'm kinda leaning towards definitely.

But, 7 readers, I will be honest: I do want to change up the story somehow. I won't go anywhere dark, I think, but the way in which it is written might change, so I'm sorry if it does not live up to expectations. I guess this is a "warning" to the 6 people that inevitably mis-click on this post.
