So I might be getting a job... · 1:39am Jul 1st, 2016
I have training tomorrow, and if everything goes well, I should be an official employee. I'm kinda nervous, though, considering it's at a local fast food place... And service jobs aren't really the best kind of jobs.
But, if all goes well, the manager said that I could be the first skating carhop they've had in a long time. Which, I'm pretty sure is the main reason I was considering for employment because I brought up that I could skate.
One more step to being Pinkie Pie.

Good luck! The first job's always the most daunting, whether it's your first part time or first career job. But you can do it. I didn't get my first job till I was 17 xD
Oh boy. I worked as a line cook at a restaurant one summer. If there's one thing I learned from the food service industry, it's that if you're standing around doing nothing, you suck at your job.
Keep that in mind, and try to keep a cool head around the assholes you'll inevitably run into. Nothing makes a bad situation worse like yelling in a customer's face.

Oh, ho, I know that yelling at customers is a bad idea. Not from personal experience, but my friends have told me plenty of stories about how they've almost gone off on some rather difficult patrons.

I work in a cookie bakery! And yes, we do get quite abit of difficult,sassy,picky,and just plain pissed off customers! Service can be quite fast paced and overwhelming when you first start out!
But you'll get used to it.
