Life has been a steaming pile recently. There's social drama, financial problems, and more issues with government bureaucracy than I care to go into... It's a nightmare and a half to be completely honest. Particularly that first one... I'd rant more about it, but I'm not gonna be That Person (again... **eyes misspent youth**). Thankfully, it seems like there's an end in sight... **heaves sigh of profound relief**
Oh... And did I mention that the most creative I've been able to manage as regards the EW is making sailor senshi dolls of OCs and writing dates and events on the calendar I created for Equestria? **groans**
Don't get me wrong, the dates/calendar stuff is at least marginally related to things we in the EW sorta need to know since we're going a little firmer on our timeline than our-Lord-our-God, Calm Wind, has. (And by a little, I mean a LOT.) I tell you... Trying to peg things to a timeline is NOT easy given how vague he is with time passage... However, we have a timeline we like now... and it even includes birthdays!
ANYWAY...
In good news, I turn 31 in a week (next Wednesday), and this weekend is my favorite convention, CONvergence (hereafter referred to as Cvg). I've been going there since 2004 and I've volunteered (off and on) the whole time. This year, it's just me and Fiancé, and we're scrabbling a bit to find a hotel room to crash in. I know one person that would for sure have space, but it would be awkward since he's constantly hitting on me and also where would Fiancé go? 
Yuck. However, Fiancé has a friend who might be able to give us crash-space, so that's something I'm hoping to hear about soon.
Honestly, I'm really looking forward to Saturday morning, as the Sandbox (crafty activities area) is gonna have people making pony tails. 
Cvg is basically a yearly geek reunion... No matter the flavor of geekery you like... Anime, Sci-Fi, Fantasy, Movies, Comics, Gaming... Cartoons aimed at prepubescent girls... **coughs**
But yeah... It's been my birthday present to go to Cvg since I turned 19, and there's never been a year I regretted it.
All that said... **sigh** Ugh... Even rewriting that first paragraph several times doesn't make me feel confident that it won't start shit up again... Fuggit... You have a question about it, PM me. Don't turn my comments section into a battle ground...
