Alright so... if you didn't click the LINK then you might be wondering what the beam of light is. No. It is not the Avatar. It is the sacrifice of a great hero... Kingsley Sparklefriends a.k.a. true Sombra.
The blog is ending and yet... I wish it could continue. It ends where it began like most good things.
Basically, this story takes place after Spike and Cadence blew up King Sombra in Season 3. During that time we learn that Sombra is an idiot with a roommate made of dark magic that made him evil in the first place. As they wait for their horn to regenerate their body a news reporter named Coffee Talk is caught in a snow storm that somehow got her soul trapped with Sombra.
That was the start of a beautiful, serious, funny, and overall dramatic friendship. After Coffee Talk gets her body back, she travels with Sombra as his first friend. Other ponies come and go on their journey while the two keep Sombra's secret. Thus he gave himself the secret name of "Kingsley Sparklefriends" and the good majority never saw through him.
There are times when his horn is healed and he can perform magic or he can start fires with a twerk but you can see a change in him- I'm not talking about his extending snout -as he grows closer to his friend... despite never saying her name right until the end.
At some point, Sombra finally gives up on trying to avoid the Empire he once sought to take back and abandons revenge. I'm not going into details about the ending; just that Kingsley learned to "Forgive Himshelf" and purged the dark spirit... only to take the spirit back in him to save everybody from "Butt Face" once and for all.
It must've been hard for Coffee Talk to watch Kingsley get blown up. And those beam pictures from earlier went from being a serious cry moment to a bandwagon meme where the beam is seen through the multiverse.
...though he finally did get his cutie mark. But it was during his sacrifice so we have no idea what it looks like.
And wiggles says: "YOU SHALL NOT EVER FIND OUT!"
