Godbound: A Game of Divine Heroes · 12:35am Jun 29th, 2016

Hey nerds, remember when I was talking about those Kickstarters I was backing? Well guess which one came out super super early?

Yeah. That's right. My favorite one came out super super early.

As you can see there are two versions of the game. The Deluxe version costs monies, and has Print on Demand options. The free version, obviously, does not cost monies.

This might possibly be my favorite Tabletop RPG product at the moment. The rules are fairly simple, the material provided is versatile, and a lot of it is setting-and-system-agnostic so you can port it to other games. The Deluxe version has an extra 50-odd pages of content, and it's totes worth the cash.

Just wanted to shill it for everyone. It makes me super happy :D

Then tell us about it!

4057377 Okay then. A thousand years ago humans were in an age of unparalleled development and prosperity. They were masters of their domain. But they had a disagreement: Who was right?

They decided to go ask God.

So they raided Heaven, kicked the Angels' asses, and busted into the Heavenly Throne Room. God wasn't there.

So they kicked each others' asses, kicked the Angels' asses some more, and wrecked the fuck out of Heaven. This caused the fucking Multiverse to break to some extent or another and everything was tossed back to the dark ages by the time the super powerful god monster things they made finished their war.

A thousand years later, shit sucks for most of the world but it's at least functional. Most of the time. Sorta. But now leftovers from that big-ass war are filtering their way back to the mortal world, and glomming on to people seemingly at random. These empowered mortals are the Godbound. They have access to the Words of Creation, which are basically the intrinsic underpinnings of reality, and they can manipulate them.

So now you have random demigodlets running around a broken world, with too much power and no mandate save what they make for themselves.

You're one of those.

Have fun.

4058221 there's a free one, yknow. You can read it ;)
