    Persona 6: Reflect

So, the story has been restarted. I'm helping Bahamut Omega a bit with it, but it's still his demon. And yes, it's still the Omega Ruby to my story's Alpha Sapphire. So READ IT GODDAMN IT!!!

Here's a link so you don't have an excuse not to read it. Get to work, people.

Persona 6: REM will be returning soon.

I've begun working on the next few chapters, as I'm still not at the part where I wanted to take a break initially, so expect a new chapter sometime tomorrow.

Progress WILL be slow due to my new job taking over a bit, but know that I am working on this one.

Also, 13 Sentinels will be worked on as well. Again, that won't be premiering for a long while though.

    Demo for my new project

For those who want to read it, you can find the prologue chapters in the following link. It's set up where you can comment there, but if you just want to comment here, that's fine too. I'm very curious what you all think of this.

Anyone want a "demo" of the new project I'm working on?

If you do, I can provide a link to it. It's an experimental story, like I said, so some things MIGHT turn people off here and there, but it's something I've been wanting to write for a long while. I have a Google Drive now with the prologue chapters (yes, plural. You read that right), so if you want to see that, let me know here, and I'll put up another blog post with the link to the Google

    Updating my peeps

Alright, so here's an update on things going on in my life:

1: I'm a lot busier these days. My Dad is recovering from surgery, and he's fine physically, but he was already in the early stages of Dementia, and the surgery actually made it progress a bit. I'm needing to help take care of him and do more around the house.

Sapphirelibra3 Rants...?: Mighty no. 9 · 4:04am Jun 25th, 2016

So... Mighty no. 9 came out a few days ago, and the verdict overall is...

Worst game of 2016.

I recently got the game, I played a bit of all the eight main stages, managed to beat a boss, and got the hang of the game. Final verdict...

I like it. I like this game a lot.

Now, that isn't to say that I don't see what people have a problem with. Mighty. no. 9 was in development for two years, it had a ton of delays, and the final result looks... underwhelming. But I have a few pet peeves about the reviews that this game has been getting.

For one thing, people comparing this to Mega Man need to stop. This is a Spiritual Successor to Mega Man. That means it's similar, and has the same feel overall, but it's not the same as the original. Devil May Cry is a spiritual successor to Resident Evil, and Mega Man himself is a spiritual successor to Astro Boy. So for those who say that "Mighty no. 9 doesn't get Mega Man" need to understand that it was never meant to understand Mega Man. Sure, it calls back to Mega Man, but once you allow yourself to look at Mighty no. 9 as it's own separate demon, then you'll be fine.

Also, the thing about hate is that if you look for reasons to hate something, you're GOING to find them. The problem people are having with Mighty no. 9 is that they went in feeling sour from all the negativity surrounding it, which painted their view of it. Me, I don't feel negative about things like that for long, so I went in completely cold, and at the end of the day, I found a lot of things to like about it.

That isn't to say that there aren't problems. The english voice acting is grating at times, and I'm not too sure on the Japanese voice work either. Also, like my twin sister pointed out, this game's music is really underwhelming. Finally, the game itself isn't that great to look at graphic wise. However, I like the characters, the bosses are cool, the mechanic is interesting, and the game is hard without being unfair. At least, that's how I feel.

But sadly, this is probably going to be the only game in the series, because thanks to the overwhelming hate this game got, Keiji Inafune is probably not going to try again. Then again, he might. I'd like to see if he could make the sequel better. Hey, the first ever Mega Man wasn't well received, but the second game was fantastic and well loved. Mega Man Battle Network, same thing. First game was... eh, second game was fantastic. Mega Man Zero was the same way I think.

Actually, I think that's just Mega Man in general. So you know what? I want more Mighty no. 9. I want this game to become something great, and I want to see more of what Keiji Inafune has to offer.

So yeah, I like Mighty no. 9.

*pulls out shot gun* Bring it.

So, it's not that bad, but it could stand to be a lot better.

Man, I was hoping that this was a Cyborg 009 fighting game or something.

I was wondering when I'd finally here about this from you.

It sounds interesting.

4047660 That could be cool, as long as it kept the retro character designs. Like, from the 70s anime.

4047758 Having just watched some of the original series, I'm pretty sure that would end up looking awful. It's fairly one dimensional and the animation hasn't aged well.

4047780 I just meant them having more retro art style as opposed to the modern look, like from the 2012 movie. And huge buttons on the jackets. I loved those.

4047782 Selectable player skins addresses that adequately.

4047800 I suppose it does, huh? Well, I doubt it would ever get made, anyway.

4047571 Yes, exactly. People are calling it the "Sonic 06 of 2016" which isn't fair in the slightest. Sonic 06 was genuinely a bad game. This is just a game that has potential to be great.

As I've not played any Sonic games, I can't really agree or disagree. However, you may get a kick out of this, the Sonic Twitter, the official one had this to say about Mighty No 9: https://twitter.com/sonic_hedgehog/status/745311041987371008

4047863 HA! Yes! I loved this. Sonic is a dick!

4047882

It is the sort of thing he'd say. And he'd sound so smug about it.

4047886 It's stuff like that that gives me hope for the future. Sega DOES remember Sonic's original persona.

4047888

Sonic's a dick, but he's a FUNNY dick. And there's more to him than being a dick.

I'm probably gonna wait for price drop on the 3DS before trying this game. And yeah, maybe sequel would fix a lot of the problems.

Mighty no. 9 is out?, sweet, i'll have to get it once i get the chance latter, thanks for the heads up. :)

4053701 You're welcome. It's a good thing that it came into my YouTube subscription feed. :pinkiehappy:
