Blog #15: Surviving June · 7:17pm Jun 23rd, 2016
It's that time of the year. Summer hasn't officially started yet, but the weather doesn't care and turns up the heat anyway. The Sun rises so early that I can sometimes see it before going to bed. And all those chores of the summer start piling up, like making sure I pass all my classes (not sure about that one yet), or finishing that plushie that I wanted to make last year as a birthday gift and then postponed to christmas and finally this year, or preparing myself for GalaCon where I plan to cosplay Pinkie Pie.
There's one week in July in which, according to my schedule, I will not be stressed out. One week out of the entire two months June and July. I have been almost done with the revision of the Princest story since weeks ago but I can't seem to get around to giving it the final go and getting in touch with proofreaders. My hope is that I will be able to do that soon and finish my work so that, come August, I can go back to writing the Shining Armor story with full steam. But there won't be capacities for much else than that edit. No writing until August. That does sound about the opposite of acceptable to me, but I don't see how else everything is going to work out.
To end on a less negative note, I do feel like I'm learning to handle the tough parts better with each year. I'm sleeping a decent amount which helps a lot. Also, I am looking forward to GalaCon. It's just all a bit much.
Fanfiction of the Month
I don't know if this is cheating, since I read this last month, but my favorite story I read since the last blog post is The Proper Care and Feeding of Monsters by Cold in Gardez. It's a touching short story about Fluttershy and a wild creature she finds.
