me checking the dislike ratio on my new story

Glad to know bigotry is still alive and well in this fandom.

It's glad to see some of us didn't watch the same series as I did.

    So where I've been

Okay, uh... how do I begin this? Well, I suppose I should start with the obvious. Yes, I've been distracted. If you follow me on Archive that should be obvious. And if you don't, you totally should btw. Yes, I'm shameless.

Been a hell of a ride, honestly. I just apologize for dragging it on for so long.

Back in the saddle again... · 2:57pm Jun 21st, 2016

Yeah, sorry but I couldn't resist. Anyways, so I have returned from my trip through the south and all that. Firstly, the duel Curt-Town/Skynyrd concert rocked as much as I was expecting it to.:pinkiehappy: I'll try and post pictures and videos of it and some of the many sights I saw through out Georgia, Tennessee and Alabama. Although, considering me and my luck with posting pictures, I can't make any promises.

Now, I'll walk y'all through the trip, with me and my family first going to a campsite near a town in Georgia whose name I can't pronounce or spell for the life of me for the concert. It was great as I said before, but sadly most of the songs Skynyrd played I have heard before. That's not to say they weren't good, but they should change up their setlist a little. Mind you, they did shock me a bit by playing this song which I don't think I've heard them play before in a while.:yay:

Also, they did a very heartwarming thing and played a tribute to the late Merle Haggard in the form of a cover of his "Honky-Tonk Nightime Man".

As for Curt Towne, I was in for a shock when I went backstage and received a advanced copy of their upcoming CD!:pinkiehappy: I've been listening to some of their EPs for a while now, and I'm happy to see the songs now out on one disk.

As for the rest of my trip, we made a short trip to dad's father outside Chattanooga. Now, five years ago my grandpa's wife passed away and he was depressed for who knows how long but now he's got a new wife and she seems to have really turned him around.

Then, we went to see my mother's father in Alabama. Now, like my dad's father his wife passed away, but more recently. Unlike my dad's father, he has yet to remarry but his been keeping himself busy in other ways like restoring a old tractor and things like that. He's a very cool grandpa!:pinkiehappy:

So... Uh, that's that! My trip through the south for Father's Day. Anyways, I'm back and ready to start writing again and having fun with you guys!
