In Mourning

Forgive me if this is sloppy, but I'm still crying as I write this.

Today, I lost one of my cats. She was a few weeks away from turning 18 and her kidneys had been slowly failing for the last few weeks and finally shut down completely a couple of days ago. I've been so focused on trying to care for her these past weeks that I've been unable to muster any will to write. I'll get back to writing in a few days. For now, I just need some time to gather myself.
