...and why it shouldn't magically have utilities hooked up.
I can't believe I'm actually having to post this... but... I just came across yet another story that does this.
If you have your human get to Equestria by having their house magically appear there.... don't have all the electronic devices/plumbing still work. It makes no logical sense at all. It's a major plot hole! Don't do it!
You can have electricians and plumbers hook up the electricity and plumbing after the fact. But having it somehow just work is bad writing.
PS:
I did read one story where magic electricity crystals appeared on all the devices. Which brought up the plot hole of "Why they hell crystals that produce 124 hrtz AC and various DC attached themselves to the appropriate electrical devices and nothing else..." Gah!
