In a comment on Daedalus Aegle’s story, The Marriage of Princess Cadance to House Sparkle, I noted that I find Cadance a fascinating character in general. In canon she is a good pony, trying to do good things for others, with powers that could be problematic (mind-control-ish anyone?)
I like Twidance stories, even though I know it is a problematic ship. In canon Cadance and Shining Armor are both good ponies, and are good for each other. Some of my favorite Twidance stories deal fairly with that fact along with advancing the Cadance / Twilight relationship. King of Beggars story Twilight Sparkle of the Royal Guard and Lapis-Lazuli and Stitch in My Princess Alluring do especially good jobs with this, giving Shinning Armor what could be called promotions, while developing great stories for Cadance and Twilight!
What are some other good ideas for dealing with Shining Armor, while still leaving room for good Twidance stories?
