The mares watched in horror as the storm of dust settled to the sands, revealing the powerful mare's body slowing but surely breaking down into light before them. Incandescent light shimmers from within her body, edging away what's left of the alicorn of time's prime form like cracks in the shale, and her horn's slender but cracked form being blown away into sand. Not too long after Rarity voiced her concerns was when an explosion of blue light burst forth from Tempora's right side, gathering all of their attention. They looked off the side to see the castle of white marble, bronze, and blue ethereal mana, just standing proudly in all its glory, now exploding in a flurry of brown and blue. They watched as the grand centerpiece of the castle, the gigantic hourglass hourglass, collapse into the dying body of sand and stone. The titanic cog wheels whined in agony as they fell down into the tan dunes below. The magic of the castle exploded outward in torrents, roaring like a terrible flood in a closed valley. Tempora, the long aged guardian of time, went from shock to crestfallen as she swerved her eyes away from the sight of her home becoming undone, her eyelids squeezed shut and her lips twisted in a sorrowful grimace.
As the castle surrendered to its untimely demise, that's when everyone witnessing it knew... things are getting fucked up bad.
