An Interesting Concept for the New Rotom-Dex · 4:04am Jun 4th, 2016

I mean, he IS a Pokemon, right? He still has natures and whatnot. So why not, depending on the nature of Rotom you got, that Rotom have different personalities and different lines of dialogue. Personally, I think this would be super interesting and fun to see just what kind of Rotom you have for your adventure! We'll simply have too wait and see if this is a thing that happens.

Until then!

What if at the end of the game, you are able to battle rotom and get a chance to catch him? I mean, he'll still be in your dex, but you can also use him in battle?

I would LOVE to work with the sassy one. We'd get along perfectly. And by perfectly, I mean annoy the hell out of each other and have fun doing it.:pinkiehappy: Nintendo needs to make this happen.

that would be really interesting. Talk about no two play throughs being alike, now that'd REALLY be the case.

Personally, I want to be with the Impish/Quirky one. He just SCREAMS me, y'know? :rainbowlaugh:

I just hope this becomes an actual thing. We know it won't, but hey; never hurt to believe, right?

mmhmm

3997268 I can see it. :trollestia:

I guess that means the players have to actively make sure they are in good standing with Rotom to ensure they can actually use certain features of the pokedex, because if Rotom is in a bad or sour mood that could mean certain pokedex features are locked from you. It would interesting/annoying to see the pokedex's pokemon capture location map closed out from you because your pokedex is cranky, or an inability to view any data on system because Rotom is angry with you. I haven't heard of this case, but wouldn't be surprised if it was true that, some people merely see the loyalty and friendship features in the games as nothing more than game features and really don't pay much attention to them beyond what the games say you need to achieve certain objectives, like specific move sets or evolutions.

Honestly, forcing the players to have to make a go at having a positive relationship with their pokedex sounds like a cool idea. Some people have been known to regularly talk to inanimate objects (this includes players talking to the screen, or even to specific characters in a game, when they know full well the characters on the screen can't hear them), and here we have a case where your character has to have an active relationship with their pokedex because it is part of a living creature.
