Dear readers of Home is for the Weak · 7:36am Jun 2nd, 2016
A significant amount of you has taken the time to point out that Scootaloo's plan to murder Celestia is extremely flimsy. To the criticism I would like to give the following response on how this plan would actually succeed:
I 'unno.
Come on, people, she had one day and no opportunity for research. She'd obviously refine it as she went along, and throw in other plans too as backups. She's going to be spending years raising the changeling, for all she knows she could come up with and successfully complete an entirely different plan during that time.
Y'know, it's almost as though the purpose of the story is to be silly and comedic, and it is built around an entireley far-fetched and exaggerated premise to begin with.
I dunno why people chose to apply so much serious reasoning on stories that don't take themselves seriously, but whatever.
Read the tags, what is the changeling doll fiasco?
Scootaloo's plan? It doesn't matter how viable it was, it was a disturbing amount of thought put towards murdering the beloved leader of the nation, and it was all done by a little filly. Scootaloo is going to be either a great tactician or a spree killer when she grows up, lol. Wonder if Celestia would put that scary little mind to use?
You'd almost think the plan was cooked up by some 12 yro filly with a wild imagination or something. What an amateur.
3991581 We never speak of that around here, it's quite the taboo.

I made very poor decisions, and everyone made sure that I was very, very aware of that.
Eh, I never thought Scootaloo's plan was meant to be all that concrete. She's just a foal, after all. It's more the fact that she came up with such a disturbing way with only one day of planning that's shocking.
3991608 Exactly. You summed up my feelings spot on.
What was scary about it was that 1) Scootaloo thought it up, 2) That it could possibly work as it plays off how certain ponies would react to certain situations, and 3) Celestia can see the weaknesses in the plan it showed an actual hole in security that needs to be addressed as soon as she is done with her vacation. Otherwise it was a great chapter and not ment to be taken so seriously.
Yeah; I'm with the chorus of "Huh?" As near as I could tell it was just meant to be "see how disturbing a child can be, make a funny reference," go on.
What do you mean not possible it could happen.
3991599 so what criticism doesn't really matter what matters is having fun
