What next: Desert Spice, or Monster Hunter: Equestria? · 7:38pm May 30th, 2016
Greetings, people who read things that I write! College life at BYUi continues to be excellent, and I continue to find myself with available time to write horse words between doing homework, building EDH Magic decks, and playing Overwatch. Last weekend, I even managed to release another chapter of Monster Hunter: Equestria, in case anybody that might have been interested failed to notice.
Anyhow, I come before you today to ask you a question: Which story do you want to see an update for next? I'm feeling a lot better about Desert Spice now than I did when I put it down for a while, but I'm also excited to work on the orientation, team intro, and training chapter of MH:E. I do have a better idea of what exactly I want to do for the next MH:E chapter, but I've also begun to miss Spicy's antics just a little. An MH:E chapter would probably also be shorter than a Desert Spice chapter, which would likely mean a smaller dose of horse words that would happen a bit sooner than the alternative.
Whatever the case, I'll likely start work on one of those once I finish vectoring up a zebra commission for a friend. (Those five bucks will be mine!)
So, do any of you have a preference for which story you'd like to see more of first? Please vote/discuss in the comments!
Hmm. I suppose since I'd be equally happy to see either update, my answer is whichever one inspires you more.

Wow. I wasn't quite expecting such an overwhelming response in favor of Desert Spice. It's great to see love for that fic is still burning strong.
However, in the time since posting this blagpost (which included a chat with my editor), I've decided that my momentum on MH:E is too good right now to swap fics. And besides, I really want to introduce the rest of the main characters. I've had these guys bouncing around in my head for most of a year now, and they're almost ready for their time in the spotlight!
That said, the end of next chapter will be an excellent place to let MH:E sit for a bit while I work on the next chapter of Desert Spice. I'm missing writing about the misadventures of everyone's favorite flooficorn just as much as ya'll apparently miss reading about them, but there's too much awesome stuff for me to do right now! (Not the worst problem to have, but a problematic problem nonetheless.) In the end, I'm choosing to go with 3983832 's advice and go for the one I'm most inspired for. I hope y'all aren't too disappointed.
