Stories you can steal · 7:02am May 20th, 2016
Heya!
I know I haven't been active in a while. I'll be releasing another blog shortly to update everyone on the situation there, but I'd like to take the time to lay some things out. My Miscellaneous folder's gotten quite large, so I figured if I'm never going to be using any of these ideas, why not dump them out for my fans and see if they can make use of some of them.
One thing i do is create a file solely for budding ideas. I may or may not make use of them later, but I write them down anyway. I've been doing this for four years. Some of them have a little backbone to them, some don't. I am here to shed some light on a few of them and give others a chance to take them up for their own. Feel free to use any of these ideas and make a story. If you got something workable at a later date, feel free to send me a link. I even offer a tenuous editing offer for those that use these.
Here's the first batch. Go nuts.
The Doom Warrior
Celestia has a problem.
Years have gone by and the demons from Tartarus gain ground every single day. Cities are falling, ponies are dying. Reasoning has failed long ago, for demons feel little more than an insatiable desire to destroy. Old enemies have become allies, but that has done little to stem the tidal wave of carnage spewing forth from the black gates.
She has one hope. One mad hope. The stars are screaming in fury and bloodlust of their own. At long last, the Sombra Sister, she who painted the world red with demonic blood in years passed, is breaking free of her celestial tomb. Celestia swore she would never let Luna escape, but she is out of options. The world is at an end. She doesn't need her sister. She doesn't need a leader, a hero, or a friend. She will break the final seals for one reason only.
No, not for Luna as a princess.
Celestia needs Luna the Doom Warrior.

Viscera Cleanup Detail

SUBJECT: Cleanup DetailThanks for reading this. I've already got most of my cleanup teams out in the field. I mean, I don't know what happened, but whatever shockwave that blasted the Changelings out of Canterlot kinda splatted a few of them on walls and such. They're a bit messy to clean up. I've also heard the smell is legendary, but someone has to manage everything from the castle. I'm here to formally request more staff in order to get things cleaned up. Thanks.

The Masquerade
Hoofington was once the seat of power during the rise of the New Lunar Republic so long ago. The separation of the two sisters marked the most important chapter in Equestrian history and the rise of a dark and terrible queen. For those that remained loyal to the Nightmare and stayed by her side through the thick and thin, she blessed them with powers unheard of. They are nourished by her most wonderful of nights, while the blessed sunlight burns them just as the sanctified sister spurned her own kin. These Kindred night children must feed on those that reside cursed sunlight to sustain them, but it was a price gladly paid for the clans; their mistress was a great and benevolent queen.
Supposedly. One thousand years is a long time for myth to become legend.
There are rumors spreading in the darker depths of Hoofington. The mad Kindred blessed with Sight predict the skies to scream in fire and blood. Something is coming, something so great and terrible that the Kindred, from the lowliest scum to those dining in their ivory towers, feel the coming storm.
It is almost the anniversary of her banishment. Honestly, what was she like? Was she truly so kind to the kindred? Or were they merely a tool to wreak vengeance against the sun? Her gift has been squandered either way. Something is coming.
She is awake.

Something has always bothered Shining Armor about Screw Loose. Why would a skittish but otherwise harmless filly suddenly burn down her house and school before trying to end herself? What madness took her to go to such length? It was more curiosity than anything; the damage she'd done to herself assured the nurses that Screw Loose would never recover. Still, why?
Thus Shining Armor begins the hunt for clues, and comes up with only one. He found a symbol scratched into the charred wood remains of her bed. Can she possibly spend some light on it? What harm can it be?
He has yet to know true despair.

Roll for Initiative
It was just a little game he played with the guys in his off time, and yet Twilight thinks these books are bad? Who cares about the pentagrams, just wait until she sees the splatbooks. Regardless of the harm it might cause, Spike must now teach his longtime friend and faux-sister how to play D&D. In the spirit of things, Spike recommends bringing the other girls over for a quick game. Things take a turn for the worse as six new players jockey to get their opinion heard, win the best loot, raid the fridge for snacks, and try to ensure the campaign instantly goes off the rails.
Time to teach these plebs the one rule of being a Dungeon Master.
Players control the story, but the Dungeon Master controls the universe.
