Not back to KSP yet, but I did do some space stuff.

I haven't touched KSP since my early experience with KSP2 was a combination of glitchy game and impossible-to-read UI. I've been thinking about it here and there, but I've had other things to do.

But that doesn't mean I'm not doing space stuff, and yesterday I finally edited and posted a video of such.

    My muse is nagging me.

I've done very little writing the past five months, partly due to being busy, but mostly due to recurring headaches when it's writing time.

I have a couple weeks off, and I'm going to try to make time to get back on my projects (the Octavia story and novelizing Peter is the Wolf). But my mind... well... it's trying to jump ahead, or possibly back.

    Life imitates art...

So, a privately built and operated space probe became the first US lander to soft-land on the Moon last week- Odysseus.

    Extreme Nitpicky Trivia Help Wanted

I've finally begun work on that story I promised.

I need a bit of info for a minor touch, though:

Does anybody know if, through the entirety of MLP:FiM, any month in the Julian/Gregorian calendar has been named by any character in any episode whatever?

I'm prepared to make up month names, but if they use the same ones we do I won't bother.

Plug for the Next Chapter of CSP · 12:55am May 12th, 2016

I shouldn't have wasted time today on it with so much to do, but I just went into Kerbal Space Program and flew the missions and grabbed the screen-caps for the next chapter of Changeling Space Program.

I'll try to work on the thing tonight, but tomorrow is loading the van for my next dealer's booth at a convention, so the odds are good the chapter won't be posted until next week at least.

So, here are a few hints for what you can expect.

Rainbow Dash is 20% more astronauty.

Do not let children or changelings play with sensitive scientific test equipment.

Beware lavender alicorns bearing gifts.

When you have to make compromises on a vessel design in order to remain within constraints, the key word to describe the result is compromised.

The Canterlot Royal Astronomical Society is sometimes very tolerant about what constitutes a "landing."

Distracting people from your recent miserable failure is exactly what the third-string pilot in your program is for.

Science is nice, but steering is important.

ALL THE PARACHUTES.

And, finally... the third mission of the chapter, where Chrysalis fails at three mission tasks but succeeds at a fourth one that wasn't even on the checklist for today. Without coffee.

Next time, Changeling Space Program Chapter 7: Missions 6, 7 and 8- Exemplary Geniuses Making a Big Mess

(and after this, we're going to need a new launchpad...)

I wonder when they'll "discover" the wonders that are breakaway rockets. And by "discover" I mean completely on accident during takeoff. :trollestia:

3938816 Decouplers are a major part of the upcoming chapter, both the testing of and the lack of.

A launch pad emergancy escape rocket ejection test is always fun. Especially when its not a drill.

Even if the result looks exaclty like Celestias own Industrial strength attempt. :trollestia:

I name this ship, Plumbob. :twilightoops:

I thought Orion launchers wernt till much later? :derpytongue2:
