Quick Ranking of Season 6 Episodes So Far (Spoiler-Free) · 12:04pm May 8th, 2016
With "Newbie Dash" coming out yesterday, I thought it'd be as good a time as any to share my view on how the episodes stack up so far.
1. "On Your Marks" - In my time in this fandom, I've learned that I'm a sucker for CMC episodes, and this one did not disappoint.
2. "Newbie Dash" - I think all the characters were very well-written in this episode (especially Rainbow and Pinkie), and it only just missed the top spot
3. "Gauntlet of Fire" - Who else was relieved to see the writers finally make an effort on a Spike episode?
4. "No Second Prances" - This episode actually made me feel sympathy for Trixie (which, for me, is a big deal), but like a lot of people, I thought Twilight could have been written better.
5. "The Crystalling" - Flurry Heart's cute as hell, but my headcanon did not survive.
6. "The Gift of the Maud Pie" - This wasn't bad by any means, but it left me thoroughly unimpressed. The writing on both Maud and Pinkie felt like it left a lot to be desired.

Glad you liked Newbie Dash. I really enjoyed the episode too. A lot of people say it's "cringe-worthy", which I don't really agree with. Dash finally got to be in the Wonderbolts!
3929797 I didn't really see anything cringe-y about it, but then again, I'm shockingly blind to the faults of Dash-centric episodes.
