Happy first day of May, guys! Finals week is now upon me, but here's some cheery news!
MOVIE SPOILERS!
Someone named Zejgar tweeted a bunch of translations from the event (Which was in Russia), a quick breakdown:
She says the characters will undergo "changes", followed by groans from the audience.
First 4-5 minutes are full of "look how well MLP is doing
Theatrical Show based on Equestria Girls this autumn/winter in 50 cities of Russia
Initial release date of the movie was the 3rd of November 2017, but it probably will be moved to earlier, maybe summer 2017
Spike confirmed for movie
It will be like Lord of the Rings, but about Poneh
Trouble came to Equestria; there will be many baddies, many evil characters
I'll make one small spoiler: for a portion of the movie, our main characters will transform into other creatures
Our ponies will have to venture beyond Equestria and enter a giant, scary, alien world
There will be pirates, hippogryphs, a lot of new songs
TS and Spike write invitations to a party; this is how the movie starts, some mega-new star's gonna sing, but then suddenly trouble
And it all will be ruined, and ponies will be captured (Someone asked if the images are from the movie, they aren't)
Ponies will become mermaids. The mermaid transformation will be a "necessary measure".
They'll go to those who already faced these "evil ponies and ask them for advice
They'll dive into an underground (she said "underground") kingdom and talk with the sea ponies who live there"
They'll have these funny air bubbles around their heads.
Okay, I'm super hyped for this movie. I'm so going to see this in theaters! Are you hyped or what?

Somewhere there was a rumor that one of the Mane Six was gonna die in this because a VA was looking to move on.

3910581 good to hear, only two of the pony's have single voice actors. Rarity (seriously, she will aways be Roberta to me.) and Twilight. So if true it would have been one of them. And if you notice, Hasbro has given us a Unicorn Replacement in the form of Starlight Shimmer.
3910714 the original story had it as Rarity's VA but like has been noted it's been debunked. I think there may have been a element of truth to it though. They probably gave the VA's a raise but created Starlight as a possible replacement.
Just a theory though.
3910772 I kind of see some of the VA's moving on after a while. It has to get boring doing the same stuff constantly.
And here part of me hoped the movie might delve into Equestria's ANCIENT history or something, Show what it was like in the Empire prior and during SOmbra's rule. Or Nightmare Moons full Banishment, or An all out war between ponies and CHANGELINGS. >:)

If the movie will turn out like it's been told to be, then my interest is piqued.
