A friend of mine has said it would be a bad idea to do this but I would like to ask for your opinions so I can see what the majority of you think I should do.
In an earlier chapter of Fallout Equestria: Influx I had Crystal and Fruity run into a character by the name of Motor Runner that appeared and was seen for the most part as the villain of Fallout Equestria: Broken Steel that turned out to be a good natured pony using raiders to build up the Krogoth to be used against them and the like.
As Influx is 10 years before Broken Steel it fits with that Motor Runner would be going around Equestria looking for materials and things for the Krogoth's restoration which is why he was in New Pegasus to begin with. My idea which my friend said was a bad idea was that Crystal and Fruity run into him again in Manehattan in a coming chapter. I would like your opinions if it is a good idea to have another throw back to Broken Steel with another encounter with Motor Runner.

Well does it add to broken steel because one could look at it as pointless cameo or comeback, but since they have met before I guess you could put it in.
Depends on what you want to do with the meeting. I would suggest making other references along the way if you want to, though having MR appear again wouldn't be a bad idea, you would just have to work it right.
I concur. Give a good reason for him to be there, make it i interesting, what could go wrong?
I'm not too sure? Maybe this could be a chance to show more of Motor Runner, if you haven't felt like you're already exhausted showing him as a person? I may need to read Broken Steel later.
If it was supposed to be a reference to another story then you should just keep the first encounter.
Unless you plan on writing future events that make a second encounter with Motor Runner possible or even relevant to your current story then I would advise against it. To me, references are similar to jokes. They're fun to listen to the first time around and maybe even the second time too but the more times you hear it the less fun it becomes to listen to.
But ultimately, this is your story and you should have fun writing what you want. If you want to put Motor Runner in again then go for it.
