The year of death has claimed yet another talented soul, this time in the form of Rock n Roll icon Prince at the age of 57. He was pronounced dead after being found unresponsive at his home and recording studio in Minnesota.
Prince was born in 1958 as Prince Rogers Nelson, and made his debut in 1978 with the album "For You". He released more albums through the end of the 70's and into the 80's, and received an oscar in 1985 for best original score for the cult classic film "Purple Rain", a film composed exclusively with his songs. In 1993, he changed his name to a glyph merging the symbols of male and female, in protest to Warner Brothers, he dropped it in the 2000's.
Prince was inducted into the Rock n Roll hall of fame in 2004, and in recent years made a habit of tours that even saw him going global last year. Prince will be missed.
That should be 1958.
R.I.P, Prince.
