Signal Boost: "A History of Disney Television Animation: volume I" Kickstarter · 10:39am Apr 17th, 2016
From The Acorn Cafe forum:
Hi guys and gals,
Just a little note to let you know that I’m near finished with the first volume of A History of Disney Television Animation, volume I. This volume has its focus on the first decade of the division, covering the origins of the studio, the people who were there and of course the development history of the shows.
There is a big chapter on the development of Chip 'n' Dale: Rescue Rangers and the production of the series, covering not only the series itself, but also the previous development stages, like Metro Mice.
To include artwork in the book, I need to license the artwork from Disney. This is a very expensive process ($300 per image) and the publisher, nor I can cover those costs. So I put up a Kickstarter to get some support. There are a few rewards that might be interesting;
All help is welcome. the more we collect, the more artwork that can be included.
Please check the blog (http://www.dtacentral.com) and the Kickstarter at http://kck.st/1WRcqGd

I grew up with Chip 'n Dale Rescue Rangers and Disney Afternoon in general, as I'm sure many of you did as well, and it was rediscovering my love of the Rangers that led me to The Acorn Cafe, igniting my creativity, and, in due time, becoming a part of this fandom, so this Kickstarter has a great deal of appeal to me. The project focuses on the first decade of Disney Studios' TV animation series and is in the process of being approved by Disney's legal department, legal fees of course being somewhat pricey hence the Kickstarter. I will be contributing to this project and I highly encourage everyone, whether you loved Disney Afternoon or just have an interest in animation in general, to support this project. If you are not able to support it monetarily, then please consider signal-boosting.
Thank you for your time and have a great day!
