Star Wars: Republic Commando · 9:15am Apr 11th, 2016
Before about 2300 hours last night, I hadn't played SW:RC in literal years (beyond the one-level demo the Classic X-Box got for placing a certain movie into the disk tray). Then, because of Steam Family Sharing with my brother, I was able to download the game, and play through the entire campaign in one run - and despite being on medium, I never had my whole squad down once (we certainly came close, to the point of if any member of the squad took one more hit we'd be dead, and we were surrounded by mini-boss units - Droidekas and Super Battle Droids)!
That's pretty good for me picking up the game, on account the last time I played any of the full game I couldn't get past the Core Ship's self-destruction on Geonosis (basically, the end of arc 1 of the story). This was also back when I rented a copy of SW:RC from Blockbuster, when the game was still less than a year old and my dad was also renting Blazing Saddles on VHS - which were still being actively sold, made, and used then. This was also back when Blockbuster wasn't under any form of economic despair. This was before YouTube existed. This was before the first modern smartphones. This was back when the closest that anyone had to a 'Tablet' as most youth know it today was that one thing used at that one part of The Incredibles (which, if I remember correctly, was also the newest Disney/Pixar movie out at that time). This was before the X-Box 360, PS3, or Wii were announced. This was 2005.
Now it's 2016, and I just finished the game for the first time.
.....
Good god I took too long to finish that game, I severely regret not doing it sooner...
You took to long to finish that game

So basicly every Zelda game ever and a few others.
4010417 heh, funny you should comment here - I just finished Saints Row 2 this morning. That game's from 2007, and it certainly shows.
4010436 I just recently got it. Still working on it as I'm a bit stuck in one area as I can figure out how not to explode.
Aw, man. I remember going to blockbuster to rent games. Those were the days!
