LONG Writers Block Ending/Update · 3:58pm Apr 9th, 2016
I am extremely sorry about my lack of posts and story updates for the past few months. Between college and some very significant personal affairs, I ended up acquiring a hefty writer's block and had to put everything on hold while I got my ducks in a row.....
..... Yeah life can be a real pain like that .....
In any case, I'm back now and throwing my effort into my stories again, hoping to continue the tale of titans, "On the Shoulders of Giants."
Continuing on the topic of that story, I have noticed some less than savory/intelligent comments/questions somewhere along the way. These would be the ones that, for example, do not take basic social concepts and obvious game/series content into account, something that should be done before asking such questions or making such comments. Do not take this as an insult (I know it sounds like one I'm kinda blunt that way sorry ..... Blame Red vs Blue, Church was a bad influence). I simply ask that before asking questions that I may not always have time to answer, please keep open minded and consider all of the variables. I want to be able to respond to everyone but I will not always be able to do so ESPECIALLY if folks are pointing out the obvious.... or missing the obvious.... in their comments and questions. Please help me keep it fair, that's all I want. :(
Example: no living sentient being in Equestria (besides dragons) could match the size of a Titan. Do not ask "So Griffons are the size of Titans?" No they obviously are not since they are roughly the same size as a large pony and Titans are DEFINITELY gonna trump them in mass and height. We all know what Titan Pilots can do on foot, we've seen this in game, it is entirely possible to jump on the back of a Titan and shoot out its "guts" up close and personal. If you had played the game you would know this. It would make sense that if a Griffon, which has wings, tried hard enough they could get the armor plate loose and be able to get at the interior components of a Titan. Props to anyone who knows what part of the story I am referring to. (Hint it was the very first contact with the locals the Fyrebyrd's crew has ever had).
Example 2: Do not make comments against characters being able to "read" each other without pointing out further details. If you notice two characters that are not close friends/family reading or predicting one another too frequently THEN come to me about this. I will take that, and I will adjust accordingly in my writing, and even give a little credit where it is due to the person who pointed out the very real flaw for me to fix. This is basic psychology people if two folks are close enough friends or family then they can and will have moments, sometimes frequent moments, where they can read or predict one another because they just know each other THAT well. Take common psychology into account if psychology is an obvious component please. Oh sometimes bitter enemies or long time rivals will be able to predict one another as well just wanna throw that out there.
Now I get there are those of you who don't know everything. This is to make sure that folks only ask or comment when they are ABSOLUTELY uncertain about a certain detail, or ABSOLUTELY certain about a mistake or error found in the story.... so on and so forth. If you are ABSOLUTELY certain or uncertain about something, feel free to post a comment or question either in my PM inbox or the story comment thread. I understand that no one is perfect and errors will be made, I will not hold that against you. I will answer whatever questions I can and respond to any errors found to the absolute best of my ability. I just want to make sure we're all on the same page and that I can respond (or even notice) every message sent to me, every comment made, and every question asked. Too many and I just can't keep up and help everyone yknow? Heh I'm only human after all, not a super intelligent AI (or AI fragment lol. Sorry I'm really into Red vs Blue right now. Thumbs up to anyone who knows what I'm talking about :D).
Oh and I am not saying to not post comments that could be considered silly, fun, constructive, or totally and philosophically mind-blowing. I love those comments these make me, and others, smile a lot. #MakePinkiePieProud
Anyhow, I'm back now and I intend to use whatever time I can get (won't be a lot but I'm GOING to try) working on my story. Wish me luck guys, and remember, stay smart, stay lovely, stay awesome.
