I'm in bed suffering from awful med withdrawal with my laptop on my belly so I may as well do a blogpost.
Hasbro always seem to do this when I can't afford anything:
I mean, that just looks like the greatest Discord figure ever. Though it's not out until the fall anyway so by then I'll be earning moolah.
Also I'm kinda glad as hell that they're marketing the Guardians of Harmony range as gender neutral. Not all little girls want to brush pony hair. Some of them like adventure. (I don't think there's anything wrong with wanting to be girly and brush pony's hair, but having options for kids is the way to go.)
Lastly here's all the MLP/Discord merch I own. Some of it not official, but then that's Hasbro's fault for not making more Discord merch. :P Also I may customize the plushie so Discord has bushier eyebrows. I don't like the flat ones much.

Yes, I love that piece of art, so when I saw the artist was selling it as a T-shirt on Redbubble I quickly snapped it up.
I only have a single Fluttershy. I had a small plush of her but I gave it away to a little girl who needed it more than I did.
And I don't have the one official Discord because I can't stand how he looks, it's wrong. I could never figure out why until a friend figured it out for me.
"He looks more like Randall from Monsters Inc. than Discord."
But this one? I'M ALL FOR IT.
I also don't have more merch because my parents don't and never will understand so I have to hide it until I get my own place one day.
They understand Pokemon and stuff because it's from my childhood but not this. I can't let them know.

Gah I'm sorry your parents are weird about it. I'm 34 and my parents know I love MLP and they don't GAF. On the other hand, the original MLP was part of my childhood so maybe they don't care for that reason.
But I love all sorts of animated shows. I think adults who think toys and cartoons are nothing but childish and wrong have had all the fun sapped out of them.

Yup. I guess there's technically also the little blind bag Discord. I've never managed to get one. They kind of remind me of Trogdor, to be honest.

I also used to hide stuff away when I lived with my family. I actually told everyone I'd tossed away my ponies, when really I'd hidden them in the back of my closet. When I finally moved out, I snuck the ponies out of the house under the cover of darkness. Some time later my family comes to visit my new apartment and they see the ponies. Cue mixed responses of wonder, horror, and 'oh my goodness you kept them?!"
Anyway my dad buys me pony merchandise now, and it's amazing.

Yes the plushie is unofficial. I think it's a Chinese knock off. There are lots of other pony ones too. I've seen some incredible hand made Discord plushies but there's no way I'm spending the amount of money on them that people ask for. People ask for the equivalent of one month's rent! I know a lot of love and care has gone into making them but I can't afford them, and even if I could I'd feel nuts about spending that much on a plushie.
I don't have any of my original MLP toys anymore. I wish I'd kept them. I even had Flutterponies.

Yeah...They think I still have some issues with my maturity. They're cool with animated movies, though...but cartoons they don't get, so I hide it. Kinda sucks. I tell them that I got Fluttershy as a "gag gift."
23 and I lie to my parents about my interests. How pathetic is that? But I also don't have a boyfriend and sometimes struggle socially and I want them to know I'm mature. I have no problem with what I love and I love that our generation is all about that stuff, but my parents don't get it. *sigh*
But hey, that doesn't make me any less of a dedicated fan.

Hey, we all have things we hide. I won't tell people I work with that I write MLP fanfic because I'm worried I'll be judged. Some bronies have tainted MLP's reputation after all. OTOH if they ever do find out I'll try not to care and tell them so. One of my peers who has worked in the field for ages and is well respected once told me that he doesn't care what other people think of him because life's too short. Will people care about this in 100 years? The answer is likely no. I think that's a good way to look at things. :)

That big Discord is a heck of a thing!
I can relate to the fear of telling people about the fanfic thing, too. I was in a meeting today where the big joke was how no one could believe I was being "serious" because of how quiet and reserved I am... but they don't know that I got up and spoke with passion about what I know of writing to a room (partially) full of people last weekend. And I honestly kind of wonder what would happen if they did.
I wouldn't be quiet if the things I enjoy were more in line with the mainstream, or vise-versa. But then every so often I'm reminded that even "normal" people are weird in their our own ways; they're often just better at hiding it.
And yes, when Fall comes, Guardians of Harmony is going to happen!

Yes I tend to clam up if people don't care about my interests or find them weird. But if you do, then I'll talk your ear off.
I do try to take an interest in what other people do, but if they can't be bothered to do the same with me then I'm not going to come out my shell.

First of all, I need to look at that latest figure of Discord because that is awesome. Second, I have that Discord plush as well and I must say he looks too cute and cuddly to be mischievous. I also don't care for the for the way that his antler looks which I think needs to be stuffed.
