Letters arc complete and posting Monday with Chapter 10 of The Knight, The Fey Maiden, and the Bridge Troll too

I have up to Chapter 99 complete in Letters From a Little Princess Monster, which is a little embarrassing since I *started* the arc in the middle of Covid season. It could have graduated from several universities in that time. Rather than tease bits out of it like I have before, I'm just going to go straight into my daily publishing routine and let you catch up on where I am on The Knight, The

Sun will be down for maintenance on Monday. Sorry for the inconvenience. --NASA

Here's a story by Estee you can read to take up the time until the Sun is all tuned up and returned to operation.

EA Total Eclipse Of The Fun
The second anniversary of the Return is approaching, and all Luna wants for the celebration is one thing -- something Equestria hasn't seen in more than a thousand years. This could be a problem.

    Big Leather Egg Sunday

A reminder (as John Cleese put it) that today is Big Leather Egg Sunday, and to celebrate, I'm linking the Best Football MLP story of all time by Kris Overstreet. Starring... Rarity?

    Goodbye Toby Keith, American Legend

Undoubtedly, if Toby Keith had ever done a tour in Equestria, Applejack would have been right there in the front row, whoopin' and a hollerin' as loud as possible. I think every high school in the US had a proud friendly guy like this, and we raise our red Solo cups in tribute to his last beer run. Salute!

New Year 2024- New Projects 1939

Still working on everything else this year, but I've got a sequel/prequel to Equestria: 1940 in the works, both a series of short stories set in the 1940 world up to the Equestrian moon project, and a war story showing some behind the scenes details about the war. For a little country the size of Ohio in the northern Atlantic, it has a lot of potential. Explosive, mostly. Snippets after the

A Day In The Life of Monster and her friends · 4:12pm Apr 6th, 2016

Next week I will be posting a new arc in Letters From a Little Princess Monster from Monday-Friday (five chapters). I’ve been influenced by Talon and Thorn’s Climbing the Mountain and Climbing the Mountain 2 and his wonderful creation, the dragon Vorel’aurix-levethuix Maekrix-book-rasvim and her hoard of valuable books. Also, three fascinating stories by Kudzuhaiku, Trixie Lulamoon and the Horrendous Hypothesis which introduces Sumac Apple, Enter the Dragon where Spike and Twilight determine what to do with a pygmy tree dragon egg, and Princess Twilight Sparkle’s School for Fantastic Foals where the two meet. Sumac is the most adorable little colt, and Boomer is Best Dragon of Small Size.

Yeah, I’m afraid I stole borrowed a dragon (with permission). Go read the stories while waiting for me to get this posted. You won’t regret it. They’re both adorable as heck and when you add Maude’s kid to the mix, it will break your heart.

Including a little snippet below the break

“Do you think there are other dragons around here?” asked Sweetie Belle. “I mean it is an old castle, and all of Rarity’s stories with dragons in them have old castles that they make their lairs inside until the handsome unicorn prince shows up to slay the dragon and save the maiden. Then they go off and do kissy stuff.” She wrinkled up her face. “Eww.”

Fluttershy looked around the empty castle corridor, which if it had not been for the dust and the broken windows, might have been used by Celestia in Canterlot. “I hope there aren’t any more dragons around here, Sweetie. Dragons are fiercely territorial, even pygmy tree dragons. Normally dragons don’t leave their claimed territory except during the Dragon Migration.” She shuddered. “I prefer butterflies.”

“Books?” asked Twilight, looking up and down the corridor they had emerged into.

“Whoa! Check this out!” Snips had wandered down the corridor a ways to look at one of the broken windows in the way that colts always seemed to be attracted to anything sparkly or dangerous, and now he crouched down with Snails to look at a section of rubble that seemed recently disturbed. “Something bashed open this window recently and look what they left behind.”

He lifted up a thin section of rock that was all grey on one side but scintillated with all the colors of the rainbow on the other. There were several of the colorful thin rocks scattered around the loose rubble, and the little ponies each picked one up to admire the way the afternoon light reflected off them.

“They’re all curved,” said Sweetie Belle, holding up two of the thin rocks and pressing them together. “They’re like eggshells or something.”

“Cool!” declared Featherweight as he snapped off a picture of them holding the little pieces of stone. “We could be standing in a dragon’s lair, playing with her broken eggs when the ferocious dragon comes back and—”

Yay, more awesome! And more to add to my ever growing legion of doom! By doom, I mean To Read fics, but, eh. Details!

I have a backlog of shameful proportions when it comes to Kudzu's work. Millions of words unread. The man is a machine, one I just cannot keep up with.

In any case, looking forward to seeing where you go with this.

Having recently discovered the glory that is kudzu's epic tales of wanderlust, I look forward to the upcoming chapter even more than usual.

“We could be standing in a dragon’s lair, playing with her broken eggs when the ferocious dragon comes back and—”

Cue sudden pause, opening credits, and a commercial break.

3851735 I get the sense it's a warning about how the work spreads and looms over you.

"And some nights, on FiMfiction, people swear they can hear the words grow..."

I borrowed Pumpernickel. I hope you're not mad.

3852035 Nope, as long as you signed the rental form and return him in fairly close to the condition he was in when loaned out. (Which, I will admit, is probably 'Good to Fair, with tattered corners, ripped pages, and severe griffon damage')

3891348 Wow that was a long time response. He'll probably make a couple more return appearances. And anybody else I think could fit somewhere. I am in need of a schoolteacher for CMC "Episodes"... But he'll be returned in more or less the same condition I got him in.

3891415 Well, I have a tutor...
