an update

Hi all. I hope everyone is doing well. I've been taking an extended break from FimFiction lately. Had some undesirable interactions with some users. That coupled with some of my creative frustrations just makes logging on... kind of unpleasant? If I do log on, it's usually to try and catch up with the fics I'm reading and then I quickly log off. I'm just feeling drained with the MLP fanfic

Last night, my family was having trouble finding something to watch together. My nine-year-old son didn't have any ideas, but he pretty much shot down every suggestion we had. Eventually, out of frustration and half-serious, I say, "Let's just watch ponies."

Some day I'll write a love letter to the MLP:FiM showrunners about how their show inspired me, and brought my family together, and got me through hard times, and blah, blah, blah...

For now I'm content to just write fan content.

Starting the next chapter for What They Expect to Give today. Finished the last one early last week so I took a break to work on a new project, play the new Fallout 4 DLC, and watch stuff on Amazon Prime video. Hopefully the limited free time I have is conveyed by the fact that I have to choose between writing or doing...other things.

Registered my niece for Babscon today (she's 11). Brother is paying me back later. Her chosen fandom name is "Ricochet" to compliment my fam's Caliber monikers. She didn't want to be named after a bullet. Her loss.
