If you work near a bread slicer...

... be sure to wear cut-resistant gloves. Slicing your finger open on rapidly-moving blades is not a fun experience, nor is cleaning the wound afterwords. Safety regulations are there for a reason! I'm lucky that I still have an intact finger, and that it'll be healed up fully within a month, but that's something I hope none of you ever have to experience.

    Updates and a question

Hi everyone. Figured I'd post a little update about what's happening in case anyone's still following me. With the assistance and advice of resident Navy sailor Kaipony, I've been working for several months now on an a three-book, alternate-history World War Two naval saga that pits Celestia and Equestria against Nightmare Moon and her allies. But unlike my previous stories, which were written,

If you could erase one MLP character from existance, who would it be?

I'd get rid of Button Mash. Not because I have anything against him, but because it would spare us all from the seemingly countless incest stories he's involved in. I know every fandom has it's seeder, unsavory sides, but good God, why are so many people into stories of a grade-school child having sex with his mom, or her wanting to have sex with him? Knowing that his (non-canon) mother

    New Story: 'The Basement'

December has finally come once again! Christmas lights are up, trees are being decorated, and stores are filled with our favorite holiday music! Why not mark the occasion with some winter-themed horror?

April Fools Chapters - Yay or Nay? · 5:53pm Apr 3rd, 2016

Well, April Fools came and went, and I almost put up a corresponding chapter for "Nightfall" that had Silverspeak fighting Hitler and his army of Space-Nazis when they invade Canterlot to kidnap the Royal Sisters, but I was unsure about posting it due to the backlash I got for "The Magic of the Rainbow." As a reader, I love it when authors get to cut lose and go bonkers, and as a writer I adore getting the chance to do so, but I ultimately decided not to post the chapter. (Partially because posting a joke chapter so close to the story's climax might have thrown dramatic tension out the window)

Now that April Fool's has come and gone, I'm curious to know exactly how people feel about gag chapters. Are they funny? Should they not be posted to preserve the flow of the story? Perhaps they be put up as a journal entry? Something else entirely?

Sorry, but I vote nay, just to be safe.

Uhhh
why don't I see that thing already up? I am in need of some silly fun.

Ok I admit it may not be the best thing for everyone to include such thing in a more sorious story like this. But I think it would be a nice thing exactly because of that.

I think they are a lot of fun but that the timing is important. Doing it at a long and borring part of the story can be a good way to keep the readers on thier toes.
