    New Story-"Bad Kitty"

Through some recent leaks and rumors that MLP will be ending after season 9, it's looking very unlikely that we'll ever get a G4 representation of Catrina, which while I can't expect FIM to reboot every G1 character ever, it is disappointing. And it is rather weird to me that they're probably not going to do it especially after they made anthro cats canon with Capper in the MLP Movie. However,

    The Last Jedi

Sooooo I'm confused on why so many people seem to hate this movie.

Is it because it killed a ton of fan theories? And maybe Luke wasn't portrayed how the fanbase thought he would be?

Something tells me that's it, but I don't really get it. I thought it was pretty good.

    Disney has bought Fox

Soooooo yeah that happened. The X-Men are back where they belong now. Maybe they'll actually put Wolverine in the yellow suit this time. Maybe we'll finally get a good Fantastic Four movie too.

Also does this mean Anastasia isn't a Disney ripoff anymore?:rainbowlaugh:

Batman V. Superman opinions · 12:47pm Apr 2nd, 2016

Okay so I kept forgetting to post my thoughts on this movie for about a week now since I've seen it and in terms of what I have to say about it...

It's uh....it's not good. It's not the worst thing I've ever seen, but it's definitely not a good movie. I know a lot of you don't want to hear that because you were probably looking forward to seeing Superman and Batman duking it out on the big screen and everything, but if it's really looked at, the movie is a disappointing mess. I normally try not to give into the hype that's built up by trailers and all that stuff, but with a name like Batman V. Superman, you can't expect that kind of thing to NOT build up to tremendous levels. And to a lot of people's surprise, it's not living up to really anyone's expectations. Critics are tearing this thing apart left and right, they HATE it. I wouldn't say I hate it or anything, but again, I don't think it's good either.

For one, IT DRAGS ON FOREVER. This is a prime example of a movie that tries to fit way too much into its overall story to please DC fans and it really backfires. So in this one movie alone, it's trying to fit in the story arcs of The Dark Knight Returns Batman V Superman, the formation of the Justice League, and The Death of Superman. With three completely different story arcs trying to be shoved into one movie, it's gonna take a really long time for it to get over with. It is 2 hours and 33 minutes long. Jesus Christ did anyone look at this and think "We maaaay be dragging this out just a little too long"?

This kind of plays into my previous point, but there is WAY too much DC fan pandering. And unlike MLP where most of the time they can get away with it because the pandering doesn't affect the actual story (I said MOST of the time) it can't be ignored here. Okay for example. In the time that Wonder Woman is onscreen she's pretty awesome, but she could have been written out of the movie completely and it would have made absolutely no difference. A valid sign that you've screwed up. If they were going to add these characters in they REALLY should have just had them all have their own separate movies first. Otherwise it makes it look like the only reason this was even made in the first place was to compete with movies like Avengers and the upcoming Captain America: Civil War.

And in just like every other Zack Snyder movie ever, everyone makes incredibly stupid decisions that no human being on Earth would ever make in the history of ever, even in bizarre scenarios like these. One example, there's a scene at the end where Superman impaled Doomsday with a kryptonite spear to kill him, but being so close to the spear depleted his powers and Superman himself got impaled by Doomsday and ended up killing himself. Superman did not have to be the one to do this. Batman or Wonder Woman could have easily done the exact same thing while Superman held Doomsday in place and wouldn't have gotten his dumb ass killed because of the kryptonite. It just makes this an incredibly stupid sacrifice on Superman's part because it didn't even need to happen. And Superman is supposed to be the smartest thing on Earth, and yet here he just went full retard and died because of it. Nice job Supes, ya idiot. But, ya know, gotta squeeze that Death of Superman arc in there. We might only have about fifteen minutes left in the movie, but who gives a shit right? We all know he's gonna end up coming back. Comic book deaths have lost all suspensefulness they ever had because we all know the hero is gonna come back to life. It happens like clockwork EVERY SINGLE TIME. Count how many times this has happened. It is NEVER suspenseful anymore.

Though the GOOD things about this movie are pretty damn good, but they don't overshadow the problems. To a lot of people's surprise, Ben Affleck as Batman was incredible and the battle between him and Superman was pretty impressive (just wish they didn't spoil damn near all of it in the trailers :twilightangry2:) and it actually addresses that Superman probably killed more people than he saved when he was fighting General Zod in Man of Steel. Too many times has property damage and death like that been completely ignored in superhero movies so it's refreshing to see they don't ignore it here.

...It's not horrible, but Deadpool is still a better superhero movie.

Superman is coming back for sure. It was a bit hard to catch, but at the end, after Martha through the dirt onto the coffin, the dirt floated in the air a little.

it actually addresses that Superman probably killed more people than he saved when he was fighting General Zod in Man of Steel.

I think you're forgetting literally every human on Earth would die if the planet was terraformed. It was good that it was addressed, but in hindsight, Superman probably should have done the same thing he already did, except maybe put Zod in the Phantom Zone instead of killing him and the leaving the body for the government.

3843778 Exactly, pretty much everyone knew that he was gonna just come back the second he died.

Actually now that you mention it, that does make more sense. Honestly though, all THAT does is make some of the public's dislike for Superman unwarranted because given the situation he was doing all he could. While it was good that the writers realized that Superman caused way too much destruction in the battle, it seems they chose to make the public (and Batman, though for him it's more personal than anything) flat out ignore the good things he did in favor of the bad, which given what was happening, is not really a fair thing to do.

Though if actually looked at, Superman pretty much knew Zod would only bother going after him in particular. So the logical thing to do would be to get him to follow him somewhere underpopulated and away from any civili-NOPE RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE OF THE CITY.

3843802 To be fair to how Batman and everyone else reacted to Superman, it does resemble real life to some degree. The line "If there is even a one percent chance he is against us, we must treat it as a certainty" was copied almost word for word from something Dick Cheney, George Bush's vice-president, said about the weapons of mass destruction in Iraq.

And as for why Superman didn't take Zod to an unpopulated area, that's always one of my biggest problems. I never get why Superman doesn't take the fight to the moon or someplace where they'd be minimum impact from what are two near-gods duking it out. Instead they go to one of the most densely populated cities on the planet. :facehoof:

One thing you forgot. Jeremy Irons as Alfred. Scar from the Lion King, Shylock from Merchant of Venice and many other things, now Batman's friend, confidant and butler. I only saw clips of him, and the voice he used was identical to when he was doing Scar. I loved that.
