'Ongoing' versus 'Incomplete' stories · 6:16am Apr 2nd, 2016
I know this comes from nowhere, but it's a feature I've hoped for a long while (and submitted a suggestion for). I figure, maybe I can get people spreading the idea around and have it actually become a thing that way:
With certain exceptions, I tend to read complete stories before I consider reading ones that are incomplete. The problem is that there are a lot of stories that are just collections of shorts (or in which each chapter is effectively a stand-alone despite being a continuous story) where there is no official "end" so they never get marked complete. I suggest a story status other than Completed, Incomplete, On Hiatus, and Cancelled:
I present the 'Ongoing' tag. A status for stories that are collections or stories with no end intended that will continue to receive updates.
There will likely need to be more clearly defined guidelines for the how/when it's used to keep it from being improperly applied, but I'm certain that a tag like this would prove useful for many others than just myself.
