    That's all...? Warning spoilers.

    So saw the premiere of season 7. It's cute and fun, but compared to previous seasons...lackluster. Nothing really happens at all.

    Who the Mane Six remind me of: Rarity

    As a kid my parents and I would often watch old sitcoms and old TV shows, trying to figure out how in this day and age, they can get so much wrong and uninspired. Now granted there are some great shows out there, but the typical sitcom does not manage to have the same level of character, life issues, and or social commentary as many of the old shows.

    Dungeons & Discords---WTF? {Spoiler Warning!}

    Sorry but i just watched the new episode and I've got to say, while i did like the D&D elements that made silly but funny situations, this episode kind of bugged me.

    first off the whole reason Spike and Big Mac asked Discord to join them was because they felt sorry for him... so it seems that the key to friendship in this episode was pity.

So...was it good for you? · 11:34am Mar 28th, 2016

Just wanted to get people's reactions to the season 6 premiere the other day.

I know that the reveal of the new bouncy baby brat drew quite a lot of contempt. I agree that it felt a bit odd to me at first, but the writers were able to pacify me by showing how this particular baby was not normal, not even for alicorn's, not too mention according to Luna and Celestia, there has never been a born alicorn before.

I actually like the fact that Starlight Glimmer is now Twilight's student, and i could sympathizes with her plight in meeting her old colt friend. Although bummer how it turns out he isn't the great wizard she thought he would be and she wasted a good deal of her life being cruel and manipulative for nothing.

All in all a very interesting premiere...one that has been both dreaded and hyped and one which was actually quite entertaining and fun.

I like it... but not as much as I thought.

Let me explain: I love the interaction between Starlight and Sunburst (in fact, it was probably the highlights of the entire chapter), I don't have a problem with Flurry Heart and most important: Twilight's parents talk!

But unfortunately it has the same problem I have with Princess Twilight Sparkle: it feels very anti-climatic, nothing really happens until the second half, the first one has its positive points like the comedy, Starlight adapting to live in the castle and Flurry Heart, but the really important stuff occurs until the second one.

I'd heard many people saying that the show has hit seasonal rot like The Fairly Oddparents. Although it's too soon to conclude this argument I can see why. All I ask are 2 things: Meghan McCarthy returning to the writer staff and no Dusedau and Confalone.

2.5/5.

I'm trying to think of shows that have done the two part episode well...other than having everything of importance occur in the second episode.
