This not a review, just me freaking out with spoilers, so beware.
THERE IS SO MUCH THAT HAPPENED IN THE PREMIERE THAT I LOVED AND SO MUCH THAT HAPPENED OVERALL THAT I CAN'T EVEN BEGIN TO LIST THEM ALL
TWILIGHT TEACHING STARLIGHT IN HER OWN ADORKABLE WAY
SHINING AND CADENCE FREAKING OUT AS PARENTS
FREAKING STARLIGHT SHOWING MORE CHARACTER TRAITS AND GENUINE REMORSE FOR WHAT SHE DID
STARLIGHT AND SPIKE HANGING OUT TOGETHER LIKE OMFG WHY ARE THEY FUNNY AROUND EACH OTHER
SUNBURST AND STARLIGHT OVERCOMING THEIR PAST TOGETHER
PINKIE PIE AND THE BABY
PINKIE AND THE BABY AGAIN BECAUSE LOOK AT THESE TWO
Am I bit sad Sombra didn't show up? Yeah. But, that thing with the Crystal Heart adds on more lore to it! No wonder Sombra didn't destroy the thing, it's too important to! That's one hole in his plan that's be explained.
Also, going back in circles, BUT PINKIE WITH THE BABY WAS JUST THE BEST THING EVER. That scene where Twilight and her were trying to keep the baby in control is EXACTLY how I expect Pinkie and her S.O. to be if they ever have a kid.
I wish I could have seen it.
It was funny when Flurry freaked Pinkie out. It was also cute how Flurry wanted to stay with Pinkie... until the Crystal Heart got destroyed.
I think the most interesting think to take away from this is that Celestia and Luna were also ascended alicorn not born into it. Flurry Heart being born one is amazing to them and the like.
Loved the premiere, though I'm starting to think that the writers threw in baby alicorn for the precise reason of fucking with the alicorn lore. Because Celestia and Luna were born alicorns, but they contradicted it in this episode! What is going on here!?
But it was really good overall, and I'm glad Celestia got to do something. And I really hope we see more of Sunburst in the future.

Maybe, for some reason, Celestia and Luna are keeping the alicorn tribe a secret? On the other hand, Twilight read Celestia's diary, didn't she? Shouldn't the implication of more alicorns have been in there?
My only regret is Starlight getting on that train and going back to Ponyville. Really wish they'd dumped her off in the empire. Suffice to say, I dislike her. ^-^;;
