Regarding the Story I Posted Last Night · 4:29pm Mar 21st, 2016
So, for those of you who did not see it, I posted a new story last night. Said story is called "That's Your Downfall". Now, before I go on, lemme explain a little bit here. You see, last night, I was talking with Weatherbug and The Lunar Samurai in a Skype group that was recently made. Lunar suggested we did a challenge. Said challenge was to write a story based on a one word prompt. Said word would be chosen by using a random word generator. The word that was chosen was "control". From there, the three of us had two hours to complete a story that would be posted on here without any editing. Since it's currently relevant, have a link to each of their stories: "Controlling Nature" and Controlling the Epidemic.
Now then, we had a third, neutral party judge the stories. Apparently, mine was the best somehow. For those of you who don't know, I think my writing is complete crap. However, after reading through the story after it was posted, I realized that it actually wasn't half bad. In fact, I think it's one of the better things I've written. I do hope that you liked the story; I know I actually liked writing it. I've actually had that idea in my head for a while, but the idea of "control" gave me motivation to write it. I actually may do a sequel to it. That, I am unsure about. However, if I did do one, I believe I'd know what it would be about.
Anyway, I'm giving you all a big thanks for checking it out! It really did well! I mean, heck, it's even in the Popular Story box, which is something I've never gotten before. So, as a celebration thingy, have a cute picture!
I had a total blast last night as well. I've always found that putting an immediate deadline can seriously push me to write something I never would have considered otherwise. Thanks for joining in Stahl!
3818933 Oh, I love deadlines! They keep me committed! Under a deadline, I can honestly say that I'm able to edit about 20k words a day!
