The current status of The Mailmare. · 3:09am Aug 27th, 2012
Hello.
So I thought it was about time that I posted something on my blog, if only just to let you all know what exactly is going on with the story.
I know it's been well over a month since the last time I posted a chapter and I really am sorry it's taking so long. At first, I was just procrastinating. I've been working on a few other projects and I just never found the time to work on the story. But currently, I am sitting on the floor of my empty apartment, typing this on my laptop, and wondering how I'm going to eat breakfast tomorrow when I don't have any cutlery. In short, I am really uncomfortable and a little depressed and not in the mood to do any real writing. (If I wrote anything, I doubt it would be funny, anyway.) The floor is so hard.
But don't worry! Nothing bad has happened, I'm just in the process of moving to a new place and I foolishly gave the movers too many of my things too soon. (Shouldn't have given them the cutlery... Or all my chairs... Why did I give them all my chairs?)
All my excuses aside, I'm working on completely finishing The Mailmare. I'm so close to finishing it now and I know you'll all be happy to read the ending. I have about 18 pages done so far. My guess is that I'll need another week and a half at least, but by then, I'll have about 30 pages total to send to the editors. I'll probably split that number in half and release the 30 pages as two separate chapters. Most likely, I'll release these two chapters at the exact same time just so that you guys and gals don't have to wait any longer.
So I really hope you'll all stick with me to the end. We certainly don't have far to go and I'll be working hard to get the last chapter finished as soon as I can. Enjoy your evening (or whatever time it may be where you live) and I hope you enjoy the final chapters of the Mailmare when they're released in the next few weeks.
Thank you all for your patience,
theamberfox
Ah i know what you mean, couple of times i had to move flat was a really unpleasant experience. In fact moving home is quite stressful. but you probably already knew that.
I couldn't sleep without a duvet (first world problems).
That aside, go at your own pace mysterious writer of awesome stuff person.
I could tell everyone reading this the truth about the lies you spout. but imaging you sitting like a sad little boy on the floor of that apartment amuses me ever so.
Take your time. Moving is the biggest pain in the *** that someone can go through. Hang in there.
"The Mailmare" is one of my all time favorite stories and I'd really want you in the proper frame of mind to finish it right. It's one of the funniest stories out there and it's certainly one of the absolute BEST Derpy stories! Keep up the good work and take your time to get it right!
No pressure!
