...My father died, last night of a heart attack. He was 58 years old. It’s hard for me to put it, mostly because I just found out today.
My parents divorced when I was a baby, and I got to visit Dad every other weekend. And he was the best father I could’ve ever had. The Lion King was one of his favorite movies too, and the relationship between Simba and Mufasa was very close to my connection with my own dad. He would always be there for me, whether I was at the doctors, whether I was ever afraid of something, and if it weren’t for him, I never would’ve went to Zenkaikon 2014 to meet Jim Cummings and Doug Walker. When I almost didn’t get to meet Jim, he still went through to make sure I got to meet him, and I am forever grateful. These are all just a few of many great memories I had with him. But it’s really hard right now to tell all of what’s going on.
Anyone who’s reading this right now. Please do me a favor, when you’re with your family, best friend, lover and/or anyone else you hold dear, take every second you're with them and cherish every moment you have with them while you can. Please, do that for me.
All I can say is, I’m really going to miss you, Dad. You helped me out in so many ways and I’ll never forget that…goodbye...
