Passing of my father · 5:22pm Mar 16th, 2016
I was on a role. I had the chapter ready to go and all I needed to do was to sit somewhere quiet and finish it.
But life decided to take a giant shit on me.
My father passed away last week quite suddenly and it has left us all stunned. I am now pouring over my requirements as the eldest son and executor of all his estates. It has consumed me physically, mentally, and emotionally, leaving me exhausted at every level. It may take time for me to recover from this, but before I even contemplate about returning here for story writing I have to contend with the thought that my old man will never be around ever again. And that, by far, is the worst feeling of all.
I hope you'll understand, but my father was more than just a father. He was my friend, one of my best friends, my guide, my inspiration, and my hero. I never knew how much I relied on him right up until the last minute.
